Question about random Iranian villageseditWhy are there SO MANY it is insane just a question WHY SO MANY 100.11.110.92 (talk) 01:40, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
Unsourced moves of various Iranian villageseditCould anyone more familiar with Iranian geography than I am please reivew the contributions of User:سپهراد آمیتیس, especially the page moves? They appear to have moved a number of Iranian villages to new names with no sources, and did not respond to my request that they provide sources. I haven't been able to find any, but this isn't really my area. I reverted one, Darshanemu, but don't quite feel confident enough to mass revert here. Rusalkii (talk) 20:54, 30 May 2025 (UTC)
Iranian Cities TaskforceeditI’ve added the Wikipedia:WikiProject Iran#Iranian Cities Taskforce to focus on improving articles about Iranian cities, towns, and villages. The taskforce aims to standardize city articles using Template:Infobox settlement, add reliable sources like the Statistical Centre of Iran, and create articles for smaller cities that lack coverage. If you’re interested in joining, please add your name to the participants list in the taskforce section or share your feedback here! Kamran.h20320 (talk) 11:23, 22 August 2025 (UTC)
This appears that it might be notable. Please add reliable sources. Bearian (talk) 02:26, 25 September 2025 (UTC) Request: Uninvolved review of Draft:Jamshid Khoshdel (COI disclosed)editHi! Could someone take an uninvolved look at Draft:Jamshid Khoshdel (Iranian filmmaker/animator)?
If it meets GNG/BLP sourcing, a review or move to mainspace would be appreciated. Thanks! Somewhat inexplicably, a dated religious publishing house work is currently being used to cite much of the material. I have placed an edit request on Talk:Meisam Amini to update the lead, infobox, medal record, and image with reliable sources. Your attention or assistance from this WikiProject would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. ~2025-42622-47 (talk) 21:40, 23 December 2025 (UTC) Iranian name for Flying Turtle Award?editI tried creating a new article about what seems like a notable Iranian award (for children books), but I cannot even find out the award name in Persian (and thus can't check if there is a Persian wiki article). I assume most sources are in Iranian, and annoyingly, I seem to be geo-IP blocked from some Iranian English content (probably because I live in Korea and trigger some spam/security flags on their severs? Shrug). Amway, any fixes to the article would be welcome, TIA. Translation help needed for bilingual welcome templateedit
Hello. Can you help verify a brief, English-to-Persian translation in a welcome template? Template:Welcome-foreign is a bilingual welcome template used to welcome new users who have written content in some other language besides English. The template welcomes them first in English, then in their own language, as long as it is one of the three dozen languages it can handle. New languages are easily added. I have added support for 'Persian', but I don't know Persian (Farsi) so I used automatic translation to create Template:Welcome-foreign/Persian from the original at Template:Welcome-foreign/English. I'd appreciate it if a native Farsi speaker could verify or improve the translation. (Note that the term 'Persian' is used as the language name in English corresponding to language code fa; see meta:Table of Wikimedia projects#Projects per language codes, and look at the row for Farsi under language code = fa: in column one of the table. 'Farsi' is available as a redirect in the template.) Feel free to edit Template:Welcome-foreign/Persian directly, or paste a better translation below, if you prefer not to edit a template. Thanks! I have prepared a detailed article about the Anti-Sabotage Joint Committee (SAVAK) in my sandbox. I've already submitted it for AfC review, but as a new user, I don't have the permissions to move it to the Draft space yet. Could someone please help move it to Draft:Anti-Sabotage Joint Committee (SAVAK)? Any feedback from the project members would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! -- Ravallon77 (talk) 10:03, 3 April 2026 (UTC) Request to move a sandbox to Draft: Ali Reza Pahlavi (1922)editHello! I have completed a detailed translation and expansion of the article about Ali Reza Pahlavi (1922) in my sandbox. I would like to request an autoconfirmed editor to move it to the Draft space (Draft:Ali Reza Pahlavi (1922)) so it can be officially reviewed. I have already added the translation attribution on the talk page. Thank you! Ravallon77 (talk) 14:02, 3 April 2026 (UTC)

Peer review: Drafts on Pahlavi-era security historyeditHi everyone, I’m currently working on expanding coverage of Iran's political and security history during the Pahlavi era. I’ve put together two drafts that are ready for a final look, and I’d appreciate it if someone with experience in this topic could give them a quick review before I move them to the mainspace. Both drafts go beyond basic translation; I’ve integrated specific academic sources like Ervand Abrahamian, Malcolm Cooper, and primary JPRS reports to ensure the tone remains neutral and historically grounded. Here are the links: 1. Anti-Sabotage Joint Committee (SAVAK) 2. Siahkal incident I’m particularly looking for feedback on whether the framing aligns with Wikipedia’s NPOV (neutral point of view) policy. Since these are sensitive topics, I want to make sure I’ve struck the right balance. Thanks for your time and help. The contest will run from 1 July to 30 September, and the objective remains the same: improve as many articles relating to developing countries as you can to help fight systemic bias on Wikipedia. Thanks to everyone who answered the call for coordinators, and please welcome the new faces on the coordinator team: the 2024 Gold Belt Buckle winner Generalissima (talk · contribs); and the record-holder for most India-related submissions in 2024, Magentic Manifestations (talk · contribs)! Following feedback from last year, adjustments have been made to the scoring rules; discussion can be found on the contest talk page. If you have any questions, please leave a message on the contest talk page or contact one of the coordinators: Arconning (talk · contribs), Generalissima (talk · contribs), Magentic Manifestations (talk · contribs), sawyer777 (talk · contribs), or TechnoSquirrel69 (talk · contribs).
