Leaving Chelsea

edit

On 31 January 2016 Chelsea FC announced that they will not be renewing John Terry's contract with the club. At 35 years old his career in Premiership football may be at an end. There is always the option for players of his age to head over to the US and play for American clubs. He said he does not want to retire.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.143.72.21 (talkcontribs)

Best defender

This page is semi-protected so I can not change the info box image. If anyone is minded to do so, there is a more recent photo here:

It's ok, but would definitely need to be cropped for infobox use. Also, I'm not sure that it is a huge improvement on the current 2022 image (which isn't brilliant either).--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 19:39, 28 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Racist Abuse

edit

This article lacks any mention of his racist abuse of Anton Ferdinand and his subsequent punishment for it (suspension and fine). Also, he appears to not have apologised for any of it ever. 2A02:908:2616:7180:8A3:5DEE:F87A:5636 (talk) 08:58, 14 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

The article does cover this, at John Terry#Racial abuse allegations. Cordless Larry (talk) 07:46, 1 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
