Snagged from one of my favorite coms daily_flan. There is an image and a video on the production site of Joe Flanigans new movie the over side. I made very awesome icons from it. I'm saying that because a) it was so much fun making these while watching fringe (I'm at ep 14 now, I think...) and I'm really really happy with the result!

mcshep_match is already over again. My team, team play, lost. But not by much :) >ou can find a masterlist of all stories and artworks here. It was a lot of fun doing this again and the artwork I created for it, was a concept I've been planning for quite some time...

Remember I said I'd try something creative every day? This is Saturday, Sunday and Monday ;) It isn't the greatest stuff in the world, but it has helped me tremendously to understand the wacom pen in combination with photoshop better. And actually getting visual and hand coordination in order is improving as well for me. Also all three are testament to my impatience.

Here is finally a report for FedCon 2010. Was it Fedcon 19 or something?



I have spontaneously decided go after Joe Flanigan had been announced. So after some quick planning, after a night out with my work friends (my collegue M stopped working for us) I drove to Bonn at 7 in the morning with my camera and a loaned lense in tow ;)

This con report took me over two months. But I have conquered and finished and if you read it all, I' very proud, because my writing really isn't the best, I'm sure there are tons of typos and I'm sure it might seem rather random. But I have done it!!! omg I have!!! Done!!!!

So the final mcshep_match entries have been posted, so now is really the time to go read all the stories and vote, vote vote! Preferably for Team War ;)

I had every intention of writing an entry tonight, but as always way to lazy. However and I don't say this lightly. I've read fanfic and it sucked me in. frogspace recced Sheppard's Law, by cesperanza and that story sucked me in. Go read :D

And in any case, David Hewlett is twittering again and appearantly he and Joe met for lunch today ;)

Meeting Flanigan for lunch...seeing Joe always makes me wish I had more hair...in the RIGHT places...have I just made lunch weird?!

Full of food and questionable caffeine fueled movie ideas...Joe should open a school of cool. and I'd be that schools janitorial staff!

I'm so stupid!!!! I forgot all about wanting to go to that con last minute and drag newkidfan with me. I've been so far removed from any sort of fandom activity this year that it's just sad. And I think it's sort of the reason it totally slipped my mind! I have neither seen the final version of the very last episode nor have I unpacked my Season 4 DVD box (Season4!!!!!) nor have I read more than 4 fanfics this year nor have I made any art!!!

That and the fact that I'm a chicken. Such a chicken. Here are some tidbits from the con. Now I wish I WAS there.

Joe told a story of how Jason "accidentally" punched a hole in the wall of their hotel room and Joe didn't know at first that he'd done it because Jason put a poster over the hole... only Joe's wife came to visit... and the posted Jason had put up was a Brokeback Mountain one! And Joe kept wanting to take the poster down but couldn't because when he did there was a hole in the wall!!

Today feels odd. I finished the layout for a webpage about camping utilities which I think turned out quite interesting. Met Tina on the train shortly <3 and feel completely wacky today. I think I'm learning to be less tense about work and my respinisiblities and that it actually is a lot easier when I don't worry so much!

Anyways, charlidos made me very happy this morning by linking to this Jason Momoa interview.
Oh I love the Boys!!! He even calles it that. Surfing and vacation with Joe and living together when they film. I'm going to a happy place. It includes farting and toilet jokes.

Anyways, we will see the next soccer game at work today and then I can loo forward to the next Ollian vid.So, I'm still on a bit of a break so I'm pimping my new Ollian icons for a bit. Hope I don't spam you!

Anyways, this post: in the making since last week o_O. And it wouldn'T appear earlier. Gah. I hat it when lj does that.

There are so many things I've been meaning to post about so I figure why not just start before I get lazy again. I've finally send my artword graphic to my writer, though I migth still make changes. It's like something is still missing. also, I totally missed sign-ups for lantis_lims. I need to do that now. Also, well, the new round starts now so join up if you haven't already, it's the most awesome lims com there is.

fs_lims also ended prematurely because I forgot to post before I went to GateCamp.

Indiana Jones Night

For all my bad planning skillz, Indiana Jones vid night was a great success. cerri44, dynamicrange, frogspace, half_lit_world, icequeen3101, legoline, mordio, shironezumi, sophie0, stabbim and subtle__sarcasm came to my place last friday to watch.

We had a barbecue in our garden (no snakes though...) and watched the first two movies on a beamer. I seem to have forgotten a lot about the second part. It's my least favorite, because of the whole vodoo plot. It's less archeology, which is what I mostly love about Indie. But still so much fun.

TV

I did not sleep at all from friday to saturday however. Took the time to catch up on some TV in a dead state. BSG, Lost and Moonlight were all so very awesome. I cannot believe this was Moonlight's final episode. How can they be so stupid and cancel that show??? I hope Joel Silver manages to find another network because I surely don't want it to end.
Also sophie0 sold me some of her SGA actor related movies and I watched Thoughtcrimes again. Brenden Dean is such an awesomely weird character and it makes me sad, that his show never came to be even though we wouldn't have gotten the SGA we got now if it had.
There was some unexpected Ollian (more of a mention, but...) in monday Verbotene Liebe episode. I think it's time to rewatch some clips.

Party, Musik

On Saturday I went to Renes get together and got horribly drunk and had this really disgusting cocktail. My train, which was supposed to leave at 3:33 left 3 minutes early and of course I wasn't it. At the platform I was fuming. Happily for me I was not alone because icequeen3101 and cerri44 had just returend from a gig and were also stranded!
Tonight I will see "Explosions in the Sky" in cologne with sophie0, half_lit_world and dynamicrange. Musik YAY!!!! Also planning to buy tickets for Deathcab for Cutie and Kaizers Orchestra will play for free at Olgas!!!! omgz!
