Lantis LIMS

THANK YOU to the participants, the voters, and the winner-banner makers for making lantis_lims such a great LIMS. I hope lantis encouraged iconmakers and provided them with constructive crit. I'm also pleased it encouraged the creation of sg1_lims and likethegun_lims. It feels a little sad for me to let go of a big part of my fannish life for the past two years (lantis was created on the 9th of Jan 2007).

That said, I obviously can't stay out of the game too long. If you've like to participate in another LIMS run by me, frontier_lims will be opening sometime soon. It's an all inclusive Star Trek LIMS.

Anyway, thanks again. shadowserenity signing off and turning off the lights.

Unfortunately this round did not end in the bang I expected, but nevertheless, I thought it might be interesting to look back on the winners of all five rounds!

Looking back at the challenges to put together this post, I realise the sheer amount of quality was awesome. I had several "ooh, I love that icon to death!" moments just now.

Do you have a favourite round? For some reason, I always think very fondly of Rounds 2 and 3 as beyond awesome in terms of the range of the participants. Also, there was a high participation and retainment ratio in those rounds.

Okay, I think we've waited long enough. I'm closing our final challenge. I profusely apologise to crystal_lily for making her wait so long. As quiddity_ did not submit her icons, crystal_lily is the automatic winner of the final round. That said, her icons are absolutely GORGEOUS. Here are her entries:

Hi, all :). I've recently taken over lizabeth_daily, the Elizabeth Weir daily community. At the moment we're currently hosting a two week challenge (see below) and a discussion topic on our favourite Elizabeth icons. You can check out that discussion here.



What's it all about? You make an Elizabeth icon every day for two weeks from the daily caps I provide. To post your icon, please create a separate topic every day labelled Daily Elizabeth icon # (insert the number of whichever day - 1-14 etc).

When does the 2 week challenge start? Thursday, 24th September.

Can I get a head start on the challenge? Sure! Here are the daily caps I'll be posting over the fourteen days.

. You may submit only three icons for this challenge.

. Use of textures, brushes, blending, and animation is permitted. Stock text is banned.
. Check the user info for a how-to on submitting.

For those who get through this week's voting and participate in the final lantis challenge ever, I'm going to be quite mean. I've constructed a different type of challenge. I have supplied caps of Atlantis here (btw, if you have a cap of the city you'd like me to include in the cap folder, please reply to this post with it :)), which you will be required to blend with a character caps of your choosing.

You will be required to create a set of three icons. As for the timeframe for this challenge, two weeks.
