Welcome to our second merch reveal; you can check out the first – sharing our two campaign stickers and our new bookmark – here. Now, we’re introducing two of our four “premium” high-level rewards: an enamel pendant in brilliant gold (gilding) with lots of glitter, and a slate coaster with engraved art!

The enamel will nestle in golden metal, and the necklace will be in gold as well. The pendant will be 1.5 in x 1 in/3.8 cm x 2.5 cm, with a chain 24 in/61 cm long. (Manufactured by Alchemy.)

duckprintspress.com/fannish-safety-signs-v-2-0/

Our Kickstarter campaign last year for the collection of stickers inspired by safety signs, with ideas and design by Xianyu Zhou, was a smash success: and so we’re coming back with round 2! Xianyu has concocted a bunch of new ideas, and we’re looking to make some new types of merch, too – not only stickers, but also washi tape, binder clips, metal signs, and maybe more!

What do we have in mind for “maybe more”? Well, that’s where you come in! Complete our Interest Survey (completely anonymous!) and tell us what you’d like to see us make!

An array of 9 wrap-around journal covers featuring floral prints by William Morris. They are numbered 1 to 9, and each shows a colored stripe meant to represent the elastic band that would keep the book closed, when it's made as a journal.

We are in the process of planning a series of lined blank journals. Each features public domain artwork by William Morris, with the selection curated by the artist Aceriee, and we intend to put a brief literary quote on each cover.

Which literary quotes?

That’s where you come in! All our backers on Patreon are invited to nominate a quote, and to pair it with a specific cover, should they so wish. For example, by request, we’ll be adding the quote If we walk far enough, we shall sometime come to someplace from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum.

Is there a cover calling to you? Is there a literary quote you’d love to see us feature? Back our Patreon at any level, and tell us your choice!

Our backers get a say in lots of things! For example, earlier this week, based on their voting, we settled on a theme for our next Queer Fanworks Inspired By… anthology, and Patrons who choose to join our Discord are able to participate in making our recommendation lists, suggesting prompts for our prompt-a-day events May Trope Mayhem and Kinks-Your-Tober, requesting topics for our monthly panels, and more! Have you been waiting for a close-up look at the merchandise items not highlighted in our first merchandise spotlight? Well, wait no longer! We’re in the final stretch of this campaign, and we’ve introduced all the contributors, which means it’s time for our final campaign update highlighting our offerings. Check out this merchandise we’re creating as part of our crowdfunding campaign to fund the publishing of Monsterotica: Tales of Unusual Courtship and Coupling!

Art Print of the Front Cover

Artwork of a winged person and tentacled person facing each other across a stretch of water. The winged person reaches with a wing toward the tentacled person, while tentacles caress the winged person's body.

The cover art created for this book by Siao Bell (Bluesky | Instagram) is too gorgeous to only use as the cover for a book, and so we’re delighted to offer it as a lovely 8.5 in x 11 in/21.5 cm x 28 cm art print brilliant colors with a matte finish.

Medusa Bookmark

A bookmark with art of a woman with snakes for hair, with a flower and snake behind her.

If you love your women snakey, you’ll definitely want our die-cut gorgon/medusa bookmark! The front features artwork by Jagoda Zirebiec (Tumblr | Twitter), and the back has the signatures of the contributors to Monsterotica! The bookmark is approximately 2 in x 7 in/5 cm x 17.75 cm with a die-cut corner, and will be printed on sturdy, glossy paper.

Quirky Monstery Postcard Collection

Mosaic of four postcards; one shows a boat with tentacles; one shows a collar, one shows a winged entity with a sword; and one has a checklist. More information on each: -our sword-bearing winged person (upper left) reads, "The mysterious guardian looks at you silently. You try to break the ice... > Heyyyy~ > Big Sword, Huh? > Awooga!!"; -the full moon checklist for discerning monsters (upper right) has a checklist of high-calorie snacks; hydration; painkillers; throat lozenges; spare clothes; spare socks; wet wipes; and towel; -the tentacle-adorned sailing ship (bottom left) text reads "Mast: Stay full mast under pressure. Now available without prescription. Individual results may vary."; and -the spiked-color checklist (bottom right) reads: "Do you wanna be my monster?" with the choices "Yes please!!!", "No thank you :(", and "Grrr bark bark woof arf grrr."

Xianyu Zhou, creator of our fun and funny Fannish Safety Signs sticker campaign (several of which are available as add-ons to this campaign!) has created these four charming post card designs.

These designs combine into one postcard set, containing four postcards, one of each design! The backs are mail-ready with a postcard template and place for stamp marked. Printing will be matte. Each postcard is 4 in x 6 in/10.2 cm x 15.25 cm.

You can get all this merchandise, plus our monstery campaign dux mascot, by backing the Kickstarter campaign for Monsterotica at the “flat merchandise” level – Backer Level 3. Or, if you just want some of the flat merchandise, you can also add individual copies of each of these merch items to any order than includes physical rewards!

duckprintspress: (Default)

As part of the Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for Monsterotica: Tales of Unusual Courtship and Coupling (16 very queer very sexy monsterfucking erotica tales!), we’re producing seven different merchandise items – a sticker, a bookmark, an art print, a postcard set, a key chain and a folding fan. In today’s update, let’s take a closer look at four of those merch items!

Monster Dux Die-Cut Sticker

Artwork of a monstrous purple duck. Six tentacles take the places of wings, there are stars in their eyes and horns on their head, they have a black beek and red-taloned black feet, and their chest has a gaping maw.

Every anthology we publish, Alessa Riel makes a new version of the Press’s signature Dux mascot. For Monsterotica, Dux has gone monstery, with tentacles and a gaping maw that definitely is not even slightly suggestive! As with most of our stickers, we will manufacture it with Vograce, and the final sticker will be approximately 3 in x 3 in/7.5 cm x 7.5 cm. You can check out Alessa’s other Dux designs, and learn more about Dux, on our webpage!

Tentacle Shakey Glitter Key Chain

Stylized, brightly colored artwork of a purple tentacle with six suckers on a neon green underside. Mystery liquid drips along it.

We approached Tomowowo with only a vague concept for a cute key chain with special features – whether that be glitter or something else. She came back to us with this precious neon-shaded tentacle, just dripping with potential.

She also made a super helpful mock-up, giving an idea how the manufactured key chain will look – a top transparent level showing the glitter, with a fully-rendered bright layer at the bottom! The glitter will be holographic green! The final key chain will be made by Vograce, and will be approximately 2 in x 1.5 in/5 cm x 3.8 cm.

A mock-up of artwork of a tentacle as assembled into a multi-layer key chain with glitter in the middle. The layers are labeled. A front and back view are also provided.

Lick Your Beloved Enamel Pin

Artwork for an enamel pin, showing a horned dragon-like beast licking the face of a person who accepts the lick with a serene expression.

Reshipkmn has done several past enamel designs for us, so we were eager for her contributing another to a Press project, and she didn’t let us down. This amazing, detailed enamel pin will be manufacturer by Alchemy, as have all the enamel pins we’ve made, and will be 2 in x 1.5 in/5 cm x 3.8 cm.

Dragon Abduction Folding Fan

A fan-shaped image of a red dragon carrying a person in generic historical peasant gear, flying through a sunset-hued sky. Both look pleased with the situation.

We fell in love with pukamuriska's Medieval-art-inspired artwork at first sight, and were delighted to work together on this project! This will be the second fan we've made with Alchemy, and it's hard to convey in words just how sturdy and large their fans are. A picture is worth a thousand words, so when you look at our awesome sunsety dragon abduction artwork, imagine it unfolded looking something like this...

Photograph of a folding fan with black hardware. The artwork is a semi-circular design of a stylized peacock, the tail rendered in a triangle motif.

(our first fan, made as part of our campaign to fund A Truth Universally Acknowledged: Queer Fanworks Inspired by Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice,” featuring art by Zel Howland)

As for how big it is, here’s a photograph I took of my daughter – six years old when the picture was taken – modeling the original sample fan I bought when we were deciding if we wanted to do a fan.

Photograph of a child standing in a wood-floored room. She holds a large fan with an art deco head of a woman on it. It blocks her entire face and is more than three times as wide as the child's shoulders.

It’s biiiiig. 25 in x 12 in/66 cm x 33 cm, to be precise.

See something you gotta have? The sticker is included in our “Book + Flat Merchandise” backer level, and the key chain, enamel pin, and fan are all included in our “Book + All Merchandise.” Alternatively, all of these are available as add-ons – as long as you back at a level that includes any physical rewards, you can mix-and-match to get exactly the merchandise you want, in the quantities you want!

A graphic with a white rectangle over a background showing the stripes of the intersex inclusive progress flag. Within the white rectangle there are ten cute dragons in bright colors and playful poses. Text reads Pride Dragon Merchandise Stickers, Magnets, Key Chains, and More! The dragons are each in colors of a different Pride flag.

Over the summer, we Kickstarted making stickers, magnets, key chains, earrings, lanyards, and washi tape out of Florilège‘s adorable Pride dragons, featuring precious dragon art in the colors of 10 pride flags – top to bottom, left to right, the dragons are: polyamory Pride flag; genderfluid Pride flag; bisexual Pride flag; Gilbert Baker Pride flag; intersex-inclusive Pride flag; non-binary Pride flag; aroace Pride flag; genderqueer Pride flag; demigender Pride flag; and pansexual Pride flag.

Artwork of an elderly woman and a sphinx touch noses in a stony landscape.

The campaign to pre-order art prints of any of 12 different artworks or get all 12 in a single awesome 2026 calendar has only two days left – it ends at midnight on September 15th! – and it’s a perfect time to introduce our last artist.

Shea Sullivan is a writer, editor, and artist who has contributed this piece, The Riddle, as the artwork featured in the month of November on our calendar. The inspiration behind this piece, according to Shea, is “The Monsterotica anthology description inspired me to think about the love lives of less common mythological creatures.” We’re hoping to offer art prints of this piece as a stretch goal when we launch the Monsterotica crowdfunding campaign!

Get your 2026 calendar before time runs out! You can also order art prints of The Riddle, and other pieces, at that link.

Aceriee is one of the most active and prolific artists involved in Duck Prints Press, so of course we’re delighted to have her involved in our 2026 calendar of queer art, and to make (another) art print of her gorgeous work! This time, it’s her fall-themed piece entitled Samhain.

Artwork of two people of indeterminate gender, each dressed in sweeping robes and with long hair and flowers and autumn leaves in their hair. In fron, their hands are joined by a tied pink ribbon and they both hold the same steaming bowl. Pumpkins and candles frame the foreground.

Aceriee says, “the illustration is (very) loosely inspired by an Irish myth about Morrigan and Dagda meeting on Samhain. Handfasting is an old tradition, and Samhain represents new beginnings and rebirth. It’s also a day when the veils between the worlds are at their thinnest, making it a perfect time to start something new while honoring lost loved ones.”

Buy Duck Prints Press’s 2026 Calendar of Queer Art! Or, buy Samhain as an art print!

We’re approaching the end of our campaign to fund making art prints and a 2026 calendar featuring queer art by 9 different artists – it’s only got 4 days left, with pre-orders closing on September 15th 2025. Check out the campaign now!

Max Jason Peterson is the third and final artist to have contributed two pieces (along with May Barros and Jagoda Zirebiec). Max’s charming watercolor pieces contribute greatly to the overall queer joy vibe of the art in our calendar!

Artwork of two older, white-haired white men sitting side by side on a red cushion on the deck of a blue ship. One man has his arm around the others' shoulder, and the other man is playing a lute. They are surrounded by a background of a lake with green hills in the background and other sailboats visible. A dragon curls its tail around the mast and there is a Nessie in the lake. On one side, an orange tabby cat looks over the edge of the boat to meet the gaze of a duck surrounded by ducklings looking up.Artwork of two men, one Black with short curly hair, the other white with red hair, wearing fantasy winter clothing and kneeling in the snow holding hands while looking at each other fondly. Where their hands are joined, magical sparkles and a heart rise up. The Black man is flanked by a bobcat; the white man has a cat in a basket beside him. There are snowy winter trees in the background.

The piece on the left is entitled Treasure; according to Max, “‘Treasure’ refers to many things in this piece: the treasure of a love that lasts; the treasure that each man is to the other; the wealth of their happiness together through all the years; and the beauty and peace of this setting (in which cats and ducks, sea monsters and sailboats exist in harmony). In this painting, ‘Treasure’ is both a noun and verb, for the men truly treasure each other, their lives, and these experiences. The beings depicted here treasure their friendship and good will for one another as well.” Buy art prints of “Treasure.”

Max chose not to share the inspiration behind his other piece, Snow Heart, but the love and affection radiates from the page. Buy art prints of “Snow Heart.”

Aaron Kotze, who did the cover art for our anthology Many Hands: An Anthology of Polyamorous Erotica, graces our collection of art prints and the month of June in our 2026 calendar of queer art with this lovely piece.

Grayscale artwork of two men shown from the back. One man is black, the other lighter-skinned. They stand before a blank background, as if looking into the horizon, with a field of grass under their feet. Both are in modern cowboy garb - brimmed hats, fridged shirts, and assless chaps.

The title of this artwork is Ol’ Reliable. About this piece, Aaron had this to say: “The entire first half of our relationship I tried, and failed, to get my partner to enjoy Spaghetti Westerns with me. Recently, however, he discovered a gay cowboy audiobook and has become OBSESSED with the genre. If only I had thought of it sooner.”

Get the 2026 Calendar (including this queer art and 11 other pieces!) during our Pre-Order Campaign Ending September 15th!

You can also buy art prints of Ol’ Reliable!

Artwork of two merpeople, one in shades of ping with long pink hair, blue gills, and a fancy fan tail, the other in shades of blue, with pink gills and a very long blue and turquoise tail. They swirl around each other before a dark background punctuated with sparkles. Between them, the blue merperson raises a hand to touch the tail of an iridescent rainbow seahorse.

This charming artwork – untitled – by swev.art features two merpeople and an adorable rainbow seahorse, and is one of 12 works featured in our 2026 queer art calendar! Art prints of this piece and the others in the project are also available.

Pre-order your 2026 calendar and art prints today! Don’t miss your chance – pre-orders close on September 15th.

swev had this to say about this artwork, by the way: Since this is the May post [originally, this work was posted to our Patreon in May 2025], it seemed obvious that I should paint some mermaids – Mermay has long been an event I’ve enjoyed! I wanted to have two distinctly different merpeople, so one is inspired by a watersnake and the other one more loosely by dragonfish, bettas, and flowers. For the colours, I wanted to incorporate Pride colours in some capacity, so I looked to the lesbian and nonbinary flags for inspiration.

duckprintspress: (Default)
Artwork of two people standing side by side before a pink and yellow background. The figure on the right has light skin, dark eyes, and dark hair pulled back into a short ponytail. They are scowling and blushing. The other figure is also light skinned, but has yellow eyes and blond hair; they lean one elbow on the first person's shoulder and have the other hand on their check, and are smiling at them fondly.

radicalhoodie’s piece april’s sweet showers, originally created as a backer reward for our supporters on Patreon, will – unsurprisingly – grace our 2026 calendar during the month of April! radicalhoodie chose not to share the inspiration behind this piece, which means there’s tons of room for us as viewers to bring our own interpretation to this blushing pair! As with all 12 pieces for our calendar, april’s sweet showers is also available as an art print.

Welcome to our third of nine spotlights featuring the artists contributing to our 2026 calendar of queer art! Art prints of all the works are also being made for you to order, should you wish to. We’ve previously introduced Zel Howland and May Barros.

Today, meet Jagoda Zirebiec, artist behind March and August!

Learn more about the art and pre-order your 2026 calendar and/or art prints on the Duck Prints Press website before September 15!

Artwork of a person with long hair in thick braids and a fitted dress lying in a forest beside a pond, holding a dagger in one hand. The other hand reaches toward the water; our of the water reaches their reflection, except the reflection has thicker musculature/build and is wearing armer and holding a long sword.Artwork of two men standing side by side before, leaning on a fence. The sky behind them is golden, and they are painted around the edges in golds as well. They both wear button-up long-sleeve shirts and brimmed cowboy hats, and wedding rings. The central figure, in a white shirt with tanned skin and stubble, has an arm around the other figure, whose hand is raised to his hat brim, has dark tanned skin, and wears a blue shirt.

For March, Jagoda Zirebiec created a piece entitled I want to be different. They said this about the inspiration: Instead of focusing on relationships, I wanted to play around with “self-reflection.” So I came up with a idea of trans character seeing their “ideal” self in a water reflection. Here is a medieval setting, so their ideal is a knight.

Jagoda’s piece Sunset is August in our calendar; while they didn’t opt to speak about their inspiration, that leaves us room to bring our own interpretations to this cowboy duo limned in gold.

Love this art? You can get it for yourself!

We’re getting an early start on ringing in the new year by producing a 2026 calendar of queer art made by artists who work with Duck Prints Press! All the artworks are also available as prints. If you’re looking to support a queer indie press, queer creators, and queer art, check out our pre-order page now!

Today, meet Zel Howland, who is also a writer with Duck Prints Press. Her piece, entitled Chrysopoeia, is the art for January!

Artwork of two women on the ground of a cave, surrounded by glowing orange candles. One is ghostly white, her knees tucked up to her chest with her arms wrapped around them, wearing a tattered dress. Her long hair tumbles over her face. The other is put-together with her hair in a high-bun, wearing a pink-purple long-sleeved dress that is spattered with blood. The second woman has an arm around the spectral woman's shoulders and is drawing the veil of hair away from her face. The first woman is looking away from the second woman; the second woman watches the first woman, her face not pointing toward the viewer in the intensity of her regard.

Zel created this piece as a tie in to her story of the same title, Chrysopoeia.

Zel had this to say about the inspiration for this work: “This piece was inspired by my short story Chrysopoeia, featuring (spoilers!) Faith comforting the ghost of Viola after a botched resurrection. I wanted to capture the emotion of the scene rather than making a perfect depiction, which means many of the details aren’t the same as in the story, but the tenderness, yearning, and eeriness shine through.”

Want this piece for yourself?

To help us maximize the amount of money we can pay to creators, we rely on our Patreon to pay our overhead costs. Factoring in our website and other online sales, vending, and crowdfunding campaigns, Duck Prints Press is currently breaking even, but we can’t grow, initiate more projects, pay creators more, expand our offerings, get software and equipment that will help us streamline our processes, and more…without enough money coming in to ensure we make ends meet each month.

That’s where you come in! The more people support us on Patreon, even just at $3/month, the more we’re able to do!

In exchange for monthly support, we offer a bunch of cool rewards to people who choose to back us, with 5 support levels ranging from $3/month to $25/month. All backers get coupons to use in our webstore, access to our Discord, behind-the-scenes blog posts, voting rights on polls that decide anthology themes, and at least one free short story per month. We can reach our goals, and you can get lots of excellent stuff, by backing the Press on Patreon now! AND you’ll get your choice of a freebie if you back during the month of September! (All our current backers will get to claim a freebie too, as a THANK YOU for their long-time support of our work.)

What can you get?

This giveaway is the only way to get access to Patreon-exclusive merchandise usually reserved for Patreon backers who also support our crowdfunding campaigns! Here’s the exclusives we have on offering for this year’s freebies:

A photograph of merchandise arrayed on a white background. Pictured are: a notecard front depicting a peacock standing on a branch emerging from a picture frame, surrounded by a rainbow background; an acrylic pin in shades of blue depicting a wave; two acrylic pins with cute dragons, one in the colors of the Gilbert Baker Pride Flag, one in the colors of the Intersex-Inclusive pride flag; a standee of two chibi white men in hockey shirts holding hands; a magnet of a feather colored in shades of silver and rainbow; a sticker of a mask, one side in sunshine colors, the other in moonlight colors; a magnet of a musketeer's torso shown before a coat of arms, their sword impaling three hearts; a magnet of a dragon in the colors of the polyamory pride flag, holographic glimmers overlaying it, and a postcard of two people tumbling from a stone rook-like tower that's aflame.

You can get any merchandise item we offer on our webstore that costs $5 or less, or you can claim a backer-exclusive reward previously only available to Patrons! The Patreon exclusives that I have leftovers of, listed left to right, top to bottom, are:

All backers, current and new, who back at the $25/month level by the end of September will ALSO get our 2026 Calendar of Queer Art as a freebie! You can learn more about the calendar on our webpage.

Wait, what was that about a giveaway?

Don’t want to be a backer but want to help us spread the word? Have we got a giveaway for you! To encourage people to share this post, we’re offering a free copy of the first edition of our first anthology Add Magic to Taste, which features 20 sweet, fluffy, queer stories set at magical coffee shops, tea houses, and bakeries. There are only three mint, print copies of this book left, and they’re not for sale – this is the rare chance to get one for yourself!

A graphic over a pale blue background. It says "Spread the word!" with a heart and a share symbol below that, then the words "to enter the giveaway." Below that is the art from the front cover of the book "Add Magic to Taste," showing a dragon brewing a potion, beside which is the text "of a print copy of our first anthology Add Magic to Taste."

Want to help a small, fan-run, aroace-agender-owned independent business get more support, and maybe win something awesome for your efforts? Then enter the giveaway! You get one entry for liking this post, and one entry per reblog/reskeet/share for up to three reblogs/reskeets/shares! AND you can get additional entries by sharing our posts on different platforms: we’re posting shareable versions of the giveaway on Tumblr, Pillowfort, Bluesky, and Mastodon! (Note: we will NOT give entries for people making their own posts. We love when people make their own posts, but they’re too difficult for us to track for giveaway purposes.)

TL:DR: Duck Prints Press is a growing indie press working with fancreators to publish queer art and fiction. Become a backer on Patreon during September 2025, and get all the backer rewards associated with the backer level you select PLUS a freebie worth up to $5. Help spread the word and get entries to win a fabulous print anthology available nowhere else!

Stuff for us, stuff for you – couldn’t be better! Don’t miss your chance: this event ends September 30th, 2025!

(And don’t forget to sign up for our mailing list so you can hear about our latest projects, merchandise releases, crowdfunding campaigns, publications, coupons, and more!)

Thanks in advance, everyone.
