Dear Aidan,
Would you be at all interested in having lunch with me tomorrow?
There was nothing in particular on the outside to commend the Horus Café over any other restaurant. A patio wrapped around the exterior on the corners of Avenue A and East 10th St. A single udjat stared down onto the street from each wall, framed on one side by windows and on the other by rather sketchy palm trees.

When several international deliveries arrived on the morning of the 14th for Mr Pegasus the two young receptionists were amused. When Croquet himself arrived to collect Mr Pegasus’ mail from the front desk their amusement increased at the stern look they were given from behind variable tint lenses. ( Collapse )

Mr. Pegasus,
I do hope you found your book on herbs engaging, and that you do not find this contact intrusive.
You had suggested coffee, and I thought I would perhaps take you up on it before I lose track of days again. As I have no "day job" per se, I leave the time and date to your choosing.

The best way to learn your way around a new city was to walk it, so said at least one article Pegasus had read quite some time ago. It was to do with locating yourself in a visio-spatial matrix of some sort and other such elaborate mental technology, all of which boiled down to learning from the experience of physically being there… somewhere at any rate. Which meant that he ought to go walking round New York really. Perhaps not all of it and certainly not constantly but enough so that he learned to pinpoint his experience and not just rely on things like Googlemaps, which were unreliable anyway since he didn’t quite believe that Google HQ had quite so many things of note and certainly wasn’t likely to really have pink flamingos about.
[OOC: Marik and Pegasus catch each other on a Sunday afternoon workout, and discuss potential business ventures. Players: ishtar_marik and aneyeforart Backdated Sunday July 2nd. ]
He'd been on the treadmill for about five minutes when his i-pod battery went out; Pegasus cursed himself for not charging it on his laptop the night before. Now he'd have to listen to the dreadful EZ Eighties music that was piped into the gym. Sighing, but not letting it make him lose his pace, he removed his earpieces, and coiled them, and tucked them into his pocket.
Then he wiped sweat away from his face and went back to walking, unconsciously keeping pace with the rhythm of "She Blinded Me with Science". God, he'd love to see someone interesting right now.
Towel across his shoulder, and outgrown black t-shirt and black sports shorts, Marik made his way to the gym. It had become routine around this time on Sunday to workout and then return to work or perhaps leisure if the week’s work load was low.
Water bottle in hand he stepped foot into the gym which never failed to be 10 degrees hotter then the hallway connected to it. Treadmill, crunches, pull ups and leg lifts were the usual routine. ( Collapse )
The Players: tea_gardner_ and aneyeforart Summary: Téa wanders into the Joshua Tree to find an artist for her album's cover. Pegasus helps her find one she actually likes. This log gives you a lot of nice insights into Téa as Pegasus asks her a lot of questions. Also, This is BackDated to Friday, June 2nd
After getting off the subway in what she thought was the right exit, Téa Gardner wandered the streets of New York City, trying to find her way into Tribeca, a cozy, yet interesting neighborhood full of culture and history, all the while looking at the various stores. Téa had been here a few times before to see some of her friends in a show at one of the local theaters, but she was still a bit sketchy on how to get there herself. Téa was a girl on a mission: to find an artist who could paint her for her new album’s cover.
Earlier that day, Téa had another meeting concerning her album. Ever since the label did not approve of her choice of music, they had wrest almost all control out of her hands; Téa had to get their permission for everything. And she hated it. Téa was not used to letting people control her creativity, and now it was very much in danger of dying out of pure frustration. Today, the meeting was about the cover design. Téa was forced to ask if a local artist would be appropriate to do the cover, preferably with Téa on the cover, but not the focus. They had agreed and Téa set out to find the person who could pull it off.
Walking through the city was always an adventure for Téa; she always tended to find the most out of the way, yet interesting places. Well, maybe not completely interesting, but they had some sort of unique flair. Even in Burlington and its surrounding area, Téa just kind of stumbled into charmingly unique coffee houses or just happened to find the new hole-in-the-wall bookseller. She was hoping that her “mad bohemian dancer skills”, as her brother often called them just to get his younger sister’s goat, would help her find a nice, yet different art gallery or at least a place where she could find someone who would be interested in doing her artwork.
[OOC:Players Marik Ishtar and Maximilian Pegasus Summary: Marik comes in with the Amenti in his arms from the vet, and ends up running into Pegasus, via a runaway cat!]
It was yet another long day in the life of Marik Ishtar. The post office, two appointments and finally another visit to the vet for Amenti. Walking into the lobby of his apartment complex, he sighed and did his best to pocket his keys while balancing Amenti and his computer bag. Marik could never understand why Amenti couldn’t stay in a cage like other cats, no, she just had to be carried everywhere. ( Collapse )
