Well whaddya know - I have an upper respiratory infection - 5 days prior to surgery. So I am on short term antibiotics. On Wednesday I get to drink this stuff to "clean my bowels." BLECH

The surgeon's office screwed up my appt on Monday and I waited 2 1/2 hrs. to see her!! HOLY CRAP!

And then today the hospital calls and I have to bring a $2K check the day of surgery.

Did I mention that "himself" has been completely HEARTLESS lately? surprise!

Three hours of prep for a 7 minute test.

Started taking prednisone last night then every 12 hours in case of reaction. I felt AWFUL. It kicked up my Fibro symptoms something awful - I barely slept.

Turd drove me in, mostly because he wanted to borrow my car. I cabbed it home which was best anyway. After drinking all that barium ... let's just say my bum hurts from all the wiping today.

I missed Blaire's 3rd consecutive Honor Roll Ceremony but her Dad went - which was great. I took everyone out for a nice (expensive) dinner though - because Olivia had a good week getting work done, etc. also. I had pan seared Sea Scallops and broccoli! YUMMERS!!

Well I am off to bed. I am totally drained from the CAT Scan today... and my anxiety about this surgery is growing. Will be interested to see if it finds anything more or new. Hope not.

I had to schlep over to the West Side of Manhattan today (I used to live on that side, sigh... still miss it but too expensive for a disabled woman with children!) for my next MRI.

This is a new machine with a larger aperature and everything went fine.

Yesterday I went for an MRI
I was TOO FAT for the machine.
Now my dr. has to find an MRI place that he approves of that deals with morbidly obese patients.
And repeat of the cancer-marker blood test (waiting on results)

Oh did I mention I had to argue with a skinny female technician that I am NOT diabetic. She was not happy that I shut her down totally with my medical knowledge. Guess if you've got illness(es) you're supposed to be dumb as a wall.

AND I find I may have more than one cyst. The one they can see is HUGE.

I can grow cysts but I couldn't grow babies without massive help. Nice. Not.

Once the MRI is done I see an ONCOLOGIST and then we talk about getting these cysts out.

GGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR............................

I hate PCOS, I hate fibromyalgia and I loathe being me.

And what happens? AUNT FLO.

All I can do now is sleep. Hope I can drive in a few days.

I need to get better so I can get further surgery. UGH

I hate PCOS.... I #*&%@#%&*^@$%^$!@#$# hate HATE HATE it.

Today was my quarterly visit to my beloved endo. More WTF-ery ensued. (I love that redshira -ism.)

1. I have GAINED weight. GAINED... yet my clothing is VERY LOOSE LATELY!!! (not stretched out, genuinely loose)

2. My insulin, cholestrol and fasting glucose - ALMOST NORMAL!!!

3. My thyroid function is VERY VERY low (only happened 2 other times in my life so now I am on a 3 month course of synthroid)

Who can explain it??? I sure as heck can't. GAINED weight? Probably the thyroid but still!!!!!!!!



Oh... and BTW....

SOCIAL SECURITY SENT ME A LETTER - after 13 years they are CUTTING OFF MY BENEFITS. WTF!?!?!
I will have no food by Thursday
and probably will be homeless by the weekend.

I called - they can't even give me a REASON for this determination. My disability doctor tells me she hasn't heard from the SSA!! (they are SUPPOSED to contact her!!)
I have IMMEDIATELY filed a reconsideration.

The roots of obesity are probably complex and various, the U.S. team stressed. However, their lab tests showed that exposure to adenovirus-36 (Ad-36), which causes respiratory and eye infections, also causes stem cells to develop into fat cells.

Yesterday I went into NYC to have my appointment with the special my friend & endocrinologist, Dr. F referred me to. What a lovely day - cool, breezy and sunny. Of course nowadays the only reason I am in Manhattan is to see a damn doctor.
