get busy living or get busy dying

I keep trying to write some kind of reaction to this season's Sherlock, and the last episode especially, but it keeps devolving into overly personal word vomit. ( Basically: this. )

Anyway, I have determined that my least favourite part of Sherlock generally is that the creators just cannot shut the fuck up about it. ( Here be squee-harshing, even though I really like this show. )

In totally unrelated news, I:

- am going to Europe in May! I'll be in Rome and/or Paris between May 7 and June 17;

- bought a DW account a couple weeks ago, and now need new icons but don't know where to look. How does the internet work, etc. HELP.

Dear internet: I HAVE AN ITALIAN VISA. They're going to let me into their country for six months! And I won't be at risk of being deported (like they could find me!)! And it's a multiple-entry visa, which means I can go to England and Spain as I wish and not have to worry about not being able to get back in the country.

(That said: if anyone in that part of the world wants to meet up between January and June 2011, well. You know where I'll be. Sort of.)

Anyway, this morning on my way to the consulate, I amused myself by imagining how hilarifying it would be to have a Sherlock & Mycroft archfrenemies vid set to this song. CAN YOU EVEN IMAGINE?

In my defense, my brain is a pretty dumb place to be at 8:30 in the morning.

I just watched the second episode of Sherlock (and no, I have not seen the first one) because my sister put it on after dinner when I was visiting the family earlier, ( and -- )

In short: GOD I MISS LONDON. Only forty days until I go back! (albeit for a very short time.)
