Gratuitous Birthday Post

I've been shockingly negligent about these, but I'm trying to get back in the habit. And I'm right on time for TWO birthdays today!

I know I missed a lot of birthdays in the past few months, and I'm deeply sorry for that. What with fandom sort of going separate ways after DH and whatever the heck is going to happen in this LJ/6A mess, I think it's more important than ever that we keep up with each other as much as our "real lives" allow. For my part, I'm going to try and make more of an effort to stick to that.

Post-Birthday Hangover

Thanks to all of you for the wonderful birthday wishes. Yesterday at work, we had a farewell luncheon for a member of our staff, so I pretended the nice, free lunch was in my honor. I had a celebratory dinner at the Cheesecake Factory with my family and gorged myself nearly to death (seriously, I was sick by the time I got home). I will have leftovers from that wondrous meal (including Godiva Multiple-Orgasm Chocolate Cheesecake) for the rest of the week!

I also got some good pressies, including part 2 of my package from The Evil Triumvirate (Well, bless my nippers! *wipes tear*). And then I went home and watched one of my favorite movies, The Philadelphia Story. Sadly, Mike once again lost the girl to Dexter. :P

Drive-By Birthday Post from Vegas

Yes, yes, I'm still alive and I know I've totally fallen down on my post-a-day thing that I started so dutifully in Utah. However internet issues and mucho busy-ness have kept me from posting at length as I'd like to do. I'm still in Vegas and having a lovely time. Today is our last full day here and we're braving The Strip, for "Star Trek: The Experience" and other sights.

But I wanted to take this opportunity to wish a very happy birthday to two people who have added immeasurably to my life.
