Hi there! Hope you don't mind too much if I mention the eurogoth community here - it aims to explore Goth and European culture as well as give practical info about travel and living in Europe from a Goth perspective. The touristy bits and daily life between gigs - sort of a niche community, so to speak, which may be why I am doing most of the posting at the moment! Feel free to join and post about your life as a European Goth - especially now with WGT approaching!
We hope to be going to mera luna in august, we have checked out flights to hanover, and i presume there is a train to the campsite from their... there doesnt appear to be any kind of website that is just clear and simple for new people to find out where to go.. so i am kindly asking for help here, advice, info.. thanks muchly!! :-) x
Hi. I've come out of temporary LJ hibernation to give a few European festival dates for next year that may or may not be of interest to the community.
Inferno Metal festival, Oslo, Norway - 13th-15th April. Wave Gotik Treffen, Leipzig, Germany - 2nd-5th June. Wacken Open Air, Wacken, Germany - 3rd-5th August. (In Extremo and Subway to Sally already confirmed!) M'era Luna, Hildesheim, Germany - 12th-13th August. I don't currently have dates for Castly Party in Poland, although it is usually around the last weekend in July...
So who is intersted in going where? I think I'll be at Wacken and M'era Luna again, and travelling in Germany in between like I did this year. I also have friends who haven't been to either that have expressed a strong interest in going to these festivals. Not sure about the others. I mentioned the Norwegian festival as it is one country that I've always wanted to visit and the festival also takes place at Easter, but I'll probably wait for the line up before I decide further.
