Well, I've lost motivation for just about anything since my computer is still in the production stage and will probably get here sometime after I go to Wisconsin. Yippee. fucking Hp.
Anyway, so I've taken to reading stuff (And watching it). I still have to finish Soul Eater but I kind of don't want to see the rest cause it deviates from the source material. Urgh. I'll do it anyway. I watched all of Romeo x Juliet and read it all. So depressing.
But fantastic.
And now, I'm reading Once Dead, Twice Shy by Kim Harrison who is one of my favorite authors. Even her young adult writing is still engaging (i've found they usually aren't). I had to re-read Madison Avery and the Dim Reaper which is from Prom Nights from Hell and is the first installment of the book.
After that, I think I'll start on the Jenna Black books that Amy's been reading (and wants me to read, badly). I've got tons of other stuff to read too, so at least I can keep busy. It would be a lot nicer to read them on my laptop though.
I finally got it. I finally got my copy of The Outlaw Demon Wails by the wonderful, talented and everlastingly clever Ms. Kim Harrison. God, I love the way that woman spins words. Anyway, it was definitely worth the six month wait for my Mass Media Paperback copy. (I would hate to start breaking the book trend now)
I basically read straight for a day and a half. And I loved it.
Granted, I'm still mightily pissed that Kisten is dead, but I can still feel little ghost tendrils from his presence. He was my ever-loving favorite, after Rachel of course. Anyway, I'm absolutely enamored with the way this series is going. I love not being able to figure out where the plot twists are coming from.
Surprises = Glee!
I can't wait to find out more about the demons, since they've sort of filled the hole left by Kisten. Al, especially, is gaining popularity. And Newt, well she a crazed demon. What's not to like? But the person I love the most right now, would be Bis. I just can't get over the amazingness of a Gargoyle being used. Ms. Harrison is taking all of my favorite fantasy/superstition elements and wrapping them into an artful saga.
Winter break. I think the only reason I like it (besides the lack of oppressive schooling) is the fact that I usually spend more than half of it buried beneath dozens of books. And, althought I've got to finish Brisinger, I've gotten this itching in my palms to take a walk with Harry Dresden again. I miss the crazed Chicagoan.
I think I got stuck in hyperdrive. I'm either completely doing something or I'm sleeping. It's like I've got no middle ground anymore. Is super annoying. I wish it would stop. Although, that cookie today helped. I just need to find a way to get one every day.
It was fucking delicious.
Ah, too much P/A Notes! Bad, bad, bad!
Anyway, I've been reading tons since my shipment of like six books came. I heart short stories at the moment. Falling more in love with Kim Harrison's writing and now I think I might be hooked on Lynsay Sands. Also, I've got this horrible itching to read more of Meljean Brook. The horror of just plain Romance novels is dwindling. I want more Colin and Savi! Being able to read the first four chapters and then not the rest is cruel.
Suffice to say, college is still stuck to the bottom of the barrel. And it doesn't look likely to get aired out anytime soon. Which is bad, very very bad.
Stupid life.
Er, yeah. Watched True Blood and I'm so disappointed that no good Sookie/Bill action happened. (She was on your freakin' stairs!) Oh, and Sam barks in his sleep? Awesome. Oh, watched/found Wolverine and the X-Men up until episode three. I love them all. Although, the non-accent on Rogue pisses me off so badly. She's southern! Make her southern damn it! And, Heroes starts tonight, but I think I'm going to tape it and just watch Gossip Girl for the night. That way, I've something to look forward to / distract me tomorrow. Yays!
For not wanting to post, I sure ramble a lot. OH! I got the song I wanted. Guess what? It turned out I was downloading 25MB of a song. TWENTY-FIVE! What the hell is that?!?
