Devil and Dust.

The Afterglow

I waited three days and about six hours until I got my copy of Breaking Dawn, mostly because I was on vacation at the time. And I believe I squee'd and then raced out of the minivan like a bat from hell, after having spied it on my front step. My parents kind of thought I was insane.

Honestly though, I sort of react that was to any book I've waited days to arrive in the mail. Usually, I don't wait long enough and just visit Borders instead. More costly, but it has instant gratification.

Anyway, I finished that today. And DAMN I love that series so much. It's so freakin' hilarious. Not the best writing and some of the theories make me laugh uncontrollably (like some of the dialogue) but it's amazing all together. And I love new books. Especially with vampires. I devour them.

Quite literally. It only took me about sixteen hours to finish the 754 pages. And that included a power outage and multiple breaks. (I already deducted sleep, because I started it around two in the afternoon)

I'm a little disappointed that Jacob and Leah didn't imprint on each other. I think they would have been perfect. Otherwise, I loved it. Now I just need to wait for Brisingr to come out and then another few months so that I can get The Outlaw Demon Wails in paperback. (I've been waiting like seven freakin' months for that thing to come out. Jesus.)In the meantime though, I've got Kushiel's Dart on the way.

Oh, and Good Omens? Yeah, Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett are AMAZING!

Only now do I realize that lost on my old hard drive is the massive book list I wanted to read. Tarnatiom!
