Oh lord, tuns of stuff! I still watch the Transformers 1980's series, G. I. Joe, TMNT 1987 and 2k3 series, Spongebob, etc. I watch far too many animated series to list here. And no, I don't think I should have grown out of anything. I love what I love and if others don't like it, well so saly chaly!

Ah yes, there's the Star Wars vehicle collector in me too. I suppose I should have grown out of that by now, but oh well. So sue me. I still like having comics read to me too. That isn't going to change either.

Hell, I'd get up on Saturdays and watch cartoons if there was anything good on these days! But nope. Just Spectacular Spider-Man whenever new seasons air. Guess there's the new season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars to look forward to in the fall on Friday nights. I wish I could have gotten into BSG Re-imagined whenever they were airing on Fridays. Sucks that I started liking it after the series ended, but when I get the complete series the day after my birthday when it's released, guess I could start watching one episode every Friday night.

Let's see, what else haven't I grown out of? God, too many things to list. Just go check them out in my profile. It's all there! Man, this was a fun entry to write.

As Farnsworth from Futurama would say,"Oh my, nooo!" I don't think I could ever do that to anyone. How the hell could I anyway? There's no one in Arkansas or TN who has a braille journal anyway. So I couldn't even if I wanted to. And if someone did keep a journal in braille, someone who wasn't blind, nah I wouldn't read it. If you come across a friends journal and look into it, you might find something they've written about you that you may not like all that much. That's another reason why folks shouldn't be so nosey.

Aw c'mon, you know people keep their private thoughts in journals. Including the things you do that annoy them if they're your friends or family members. Well some of them do. So why read it if you might get your feelings hurt? I certainly wouldn't. I know I know. You're thinking,"Well he or she should have the guts to tell me what I do that annoys them to my face!" Yeah, I feel the same way. But the crux of the matter here is, get out of your buddy's private journal! Don't make me have to use my pilot's license to come hit you with a minow. I know what you're thinking. But he's a mean minnow! And he talks. He uh, he sounds like Sam Eliot too, so he's a mean and menacing minnow.

Or you could come across this one entry that says your friend/ family member is some kind of cyborg or alien. Or in league with the decepticons. How's that? Boy it'd suck to be you. So don't be like little Timmy and pry into other people's private matters. How's that old saying go? Peak not into yon key hole lest ye be vexed?

Well sports fans, the last movie I saw in theaters was Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen. For the second time. I hear it got really negative reviews but it's bringing in a load of money. My brother says he liked it as much or even more than the first one. He went Saturday to see it. I'd like to go a 3rd time if at all possible. Why the hell not? Some great voiceover talent in that film. Tom Kenny was hilarious as Wheely and one of the autobot twins. Peter Cullen and Hugo Weaving stole the freakin show as Optimus and Megs. What can I say? It's Transformers, the humans weren't running away screaming,"Oh dear, it's the Decepticons!," like they used to in the 80's cartoon. They got guts in these films. Yeah, let's see how they manage against Unicron in the 3rd movie if the big scary transforming planet is included. I hope Megatron fixes his face by then.

There were allot of things I liked about the flick while viewing it a second time. Far too many to mention here. Someone needs to put a detailed script out there or describe those fight scenes though. I'm freakin lost during most of that stuff. Maybe I'll call my bro this evening and see what I can find out from him.

You tend to learn allot from various movie goers if you ask them about certain scenes, especially if you're blind and don't have much to go on at first. But if it's a very uninteresting movie, I guess you could use the Brian Griffin method of describing said film if ya go see a movie with a blind person. Sure, knock yourself out. Anywho, It's like watching a film via various camera angles when asking people about certain scenes. As for what I'm going to see next. Probably G. I. Joe in August. But I'm not going to see that at midnight. Wolverine and TF, yeah. Ok, so maaaaybe I'll go see this one at midnight when it premiers over here in the U.S. Haven't decided yet.

Ok, geeking out aside, very hot here today. And looks like i'll be heading out to the shed to do some more packing. I think my coffee pot stopped grumbling to itself, so it's finished. I know, it's after 10 and you're supposed to drink coffee when ya first get up, but I decided to do things a little different today. Thinking about taking my lap top out there and listening to Gerold's Game as I box stuff up. My dad keeps asking me,"Man, are you really moving to Oakland closer to family? Seriously?" He's pretty excited about it. Hmm, I don't think my little brother or sister know yet. So better call my bro this evening and tell him.

And July 1st today. Who would have believed? No big plans for the 4th this year. I'll probably uh, grill a steak or maybe burgers. Getting good at that. Or maybe I'll do Italian this year. Yeah yeah, I know you're supposed to do burgers and all that, but I'm kind of craving spaghetti. Or lasagna. Easy enough to make.

Oh ha ha, Grim question. Very funny, LJ. I'm not sure what my favorite story would have to be. In some ways, Little Red Riding Hood. That kid must have been half blind not to notice that the wolf had beat her to her grandma's house and replaced her. "Oh granny! What like, totally big eyes you have and ears, and like, your nose! And is that a tail?"

"Oh no, uh. See uh, I have gigantism,ya little twit. I mean dear. That's what grannies call little kids, right? Mine always called me a menace and ran screaming from the room when I came in. Anywho, yeah uh, gigantism. I take uh, pills for that. And I like wearing this wolf nose because it scares away bad guys who like sneaking up on my little house... In the woods... In the middle of nowhere... Where no bad guys go because they'd be eaten. And I don't sound like your granny, I mean me, because uh, well I've always talked like a wolf. You have short term memory. Don't you remember?"

"Oh really granny? Wow! I like, totally didn't figure all that out until just now! te he!" Red always made me laugh. What's wrong with that kid? Far too trusting. Yeah, kids are trusting, but Red was just awful.

There was also this unabridged version of the 3 little pigs I liked. It had allot more to do with the third pig, the practical one. He met the wolf at the fair and escaped in this butter churn or something. Seems like tuns more stuff happened than in that goofy Disney book and cassette. I bet the practical piggy grew up to be a movie producer while his other brothers borrowed money from him and never gave it back. Practical pig was probably the only one who got married. The other two pigs? Man, I'd have let them beat on the door for a while. I mean, they laughed at their clever brother when he built a brick... house. Well, they laughed in a few versions of the story.

"Oh I'm sorry, is there someone at the door? hmm? Could it be two jerks who owe me a big freakin apology before I let them in? What? You see him getting closer? God, I hate it when you guys squeal like that! Stop it! Now get your butts in here since I'll have to save them yet again. What is this, like the 3rd time this week? Yeah yeah, quit with the "who's afraid of the big bad wolf song, guys. That was funny the other day, but all that la la la stuff. (Whispers) The other animals stare at you pointing and laughing.) You coming in or what? (Sigh)Wipe your feet, please. Were ya born in a barn? I'll get the trap ready for the big scary wolf, ya big babies." Hey, I wonder if the wolves in Red and 3little pigs were brothers? Or maybe father and son?

There are a few more stories I'd like to riff just because it's a rainy day and I'm in a rather riffy mood, but they're stories for another day. Yeah, Red and the 3 little pigs were two of my favorites.

Well, when I was a kid, I swore I'd never get to like cooking. So many people told me not to bother with it, but I did anyway. ha! Now it's allot of fun and I enjoy it. Seems like everyone I cook for does too.

I swore I'd never get to like standing up in front of people and speaking, but it's gotten to be enjoyable. Not that I do it all the time, you understand. But I'm allot more confident than I used to be. Probably because I can't see all those eyes on me!

I swore I'd never eat cheese on hamburgers. ha! I do sometimes. Swore I'd never switch to diet soda. I drink one a day now. 8 ounce cans, folks. I could never drink one of those huge 2 liter bottles a day!

Oh, I swore I'd never do any research again after college! And I swore I'd never get to like reading about history and culture because of how much we were forced to in school. But guess who loves it now? It's awesome to be able to learn without being graded for it. Allot less pressure. I mean, I got my A's and B's in everything, but I wasn't retaining the information as well as I'm doing these days.

What about you, LJ friends?

Well, I've always enjoyed the Mortal Kombat series. I loved how MK 2 sounded in the arcades at Malls across America. It sounded so much more real than the SNES version. MK2 would definetly have to be near the top of my list. I had all the fatalities and character moves memorized from my Snes version, so it was easy to navigate around the one at the arcade. Had the character select menue down and all that. God, those fatalities sounded so much cooler in the Mall, so did the music. It didn't sound like something vomited out via keyboard. Well, it wasn't live orchestra music either in arcade, but it beat the cheesy MK2 wannabe music for SNES by far. They use the same music for the MK Trilogy game whenever you play the mk2 levels. The sound effects are just as cool on Trilogy as mk2, 3, and UMK3. Talkin about the one for PC, not PS1. God, that stupid lag time whenever you'd pick Shang Tsung on Ps1 in trilogy! haha! You only got to pick 3 or so morphs for Shang in trilogy for PS1, or am I nuts? I prefer PC when it comes to Trilogy, thanks. Maybe trilogy for n64 was just as good. Never tried that one though.

I also loved the old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game. I remember rather than going trick or treating one year, my mum took me to the Mall when I was in second grade. I just played TMNT all evening in a Jacob Marley costume. Chains and all.(Yeah, have always been a pretty big TMNT fan.) I got several levels memorized on that one. Those older games were easy to play because they didn't involve 3d and all. Just good old fashioned side scrolling. Sure, I've got several levels in some of these modern games with 3d arenas memorized now. But you've got to appreciate and respect the old school stuff.

I nabbed said TMNT game when it came out on NES, but wasn't too fond of the sound effects.

And what kid didn't like the Mario 1 and 3 games? I had both of those, but could never get very far on them. I'd always watch-- you know what I mean, my cousins beat the games. Absolutely loved Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire for the n64 and Star Wars: Masters of Taraskasi for the PS1 since I'm a big SW fan anyway.

What was that old school Simpsons video game in arcades? The one where you could play as any member of the family? I used to get Marge alot because I'd love hearing her get hit! She'd make this weird,"Oof!," sort of grunt. I was all about some Simpsons arcade games back in the day. This one was out back in... Had to have been second grade and this would have been late 1991-- October or so, when it showed up in our arcade. Maybe Bart Versus the World or something? Jeez, I don't remember. Anywho, it was great hearing the original voice cast from the series in that game, whatever it was. Oh yeah, I also played Simpsons on Halloween night of 91 as well. Almost forgot.

Sure, I had an NES and a SNES, but I loved going to the arcade on Saturdays back then. My stepdad always used to say something like,"Boy, what's the point of that? You own TMNT and some of those other games you play atAladdin's Castle. Waste of money, that's what I say." He'll never understand how-- I know of no other way to put this, 3d those old arcade games sounded to me compared to the blandness of my NES and SNES games. Ok, Snes's sound quality was better, but those arcade games were tops.

Yes, I enjoy The Force Unleashed and other games these days. I've got the Sony home theater system setup. But nothing will ever come close to beating going to the Mall on a cool crisp October day to get in some gaming time. I'd choose playing games in an arcade over playing at home any day.

Around Easter, my favorite treats are those candy coated cadbury eggs! The little ones. My friend Tommy and I both go nuts over those every year. But this year, I just didn't want any. Peeps are good too. Oh, and chocolate bunnies are ok. But this year, my mum opened mine and ate the freakin ears! Then later this morning, my stepdad finished it off. Oh well, they can have the damn bunny. I made cheesecake brownies, so we'll see who has the last laugh!

It was funny. My stepdad kept apologizing after he found out that he ate my bunny. "Aw hell! I didn't know that was supposed to be yours. It was good though," he said. Nah, I'll take brownies or cadbury candy coated eggs over chocolate bunnies. Unless the bunny in question happens to be made of dove chocolate!

If anyone eats my dove bunny, I'll freeze them in carbonite for the better part of a year and ship them off to Jabba the hutt! Although Jabba's dead now and his palace is inhabited by B'omar Munks who're nothing more than brains in jars supported by spider-like brain walkers. So if the eater of the dove bunny gets thawed this time next year, they'll be spending Easter with the B'omar Order. So my parents better be glad that the bunny was Hershey.

Nah, I'd never freeze any of my family members in carbonite. I'd envite Homer Simpson over to their house telling him that they planned a special dinner in his honor. Better yet, all the Simpsons, and Peter Griffin thrown in there for good measure. But then Pete'd probably murder the Simpsons and have to spend life in prison. So scratch that idea too. I'd just run off crying if anyone ate my dove bunny. That's all.

Let's see. Well, I'm very close to my family, so it's easy for me to talk to them. My friends too. But I really try not to talk about my problems too much. I don't wanna be one of those folks who, when asked how they are by friends or family, responds with all kinds of negative like,"Well, oh my gosh! Somebody's mad at me! And my llama escaped yesterday! And I got bit by a dog and hit by a tank!" People can usually tell when something's bugging me though.

I've never been able to just up and tell a total stranger about my problems. I don't know said person. Why would I want to embarrass myself by spouting stuff to a total stranger anyway? I mean, I don't think I could open up even if he/she asured me they were an excelent listener.

I might not be the type to talk about problems to total strangers, but I can listen to a total stranger tell me about their problems. I get the being a good listener kinda thing from my dad. Well, these days he talks more than he listens. haha! But I've never seen anyone who cares about people as much as my dad does. He's even nice to jerks, to a certain extent. He's like me though, push too far by being an ass and we go off. But da and I are easy going just as long as no one we care about is being picked on or manipulated in any way.
