The Sunday Wibble-A-Thon

*yawns and stretches* Morning Internets. Had a nice lie-in, the sun is shining and I'm honestly not planning on doing very much of anything again today. I should probably be cleaning up my bedroom and bathroom which are both a bit of a state but I honestly can't be bothered, I'd rather be curled up and just... writing and stuff

Right now I'm watching an anime on Netflix called The Seven Deadly Sins and poking my muse over a Lorne/Sheppard fic

The Bank Holiday Morning Wibble-A-Thon

Ahh Bank Holiday Monday. I forgot to turn my workday alarms off - oops - but I was able to hit off when they went off and slept in til like 8 am. It's now gone 10:30 and I'm still in bed. I'm awake and I've had breakfast and all, I'm just sitting here, listening to music and pondering my to-do list for the day.

All the big housework chores are done and my nest is ready for its guests on Friday. I just need to run the vacuum over one last time and take the bags of rubbish down. I'm thinking I might take myself on a little walk down to the Tesco Express and buy myself a nice big bar of chocolate. Course, I won't just walk straight there, I'll try and do a nice little loop around Wellington to get there, walk a mile and a half or so. Yes, just to get some chocolate.

Mostly today, my plan is rest. Keep watching cheesy movies on Netflix, reading Interview With The Vampire and putting the finishing touches to my fic for [community profile] stargate_summer. It really needs a title and a summary but I suck donkeyballs at them.
(note to self - post on comm for an anti-brit-speak beta)

I also seem to have signed up for [community profile] satedan_grabass and am starting to have ideas for that.

The Sunday Wibble-A-Thon

Good morning, internet, and how are we all on this Sunday morning?

I had a lovely Saturday evening, flopped down on mum's couch, with a selection of snack food watching Eurovision. So many awesome songs, we did not get nil points and I loved Sweden's song that won. Even mum was getting into it with the voting - it was such a three-way tie between Sweden, Russia and Italy. I would have preferred Italy won but heyho.

I did something very un-me-like yesterday - I was actually sociable with a work colleague. Carol and I went out for a meal after work, we were out for over two and a half hours and I had fun. We chatted all night about nothing and everything, we ate far too much food and I was home later than I'm normally getting ready to go to bed. I feel a little tender this morning but so much fun!

Now, to shower, dress and take my ass up Tesco before tackling the housework and the studying...

I swear the worst thing about living along is not having anyone to look after me when I'm poorly. I got so used to mum being there when I was throwing up, bringing me a glass of cold water and a cool flannel on the back of my neck. Only now... nope, just me.

I got some kind of bug. Started running to the loo about 1am, spent bascally the next 4 hours in the bathroom, emptying out of both ends. Throw in all my joints aching, my asthma flaring up, my temperature floating around the 100 mark and my head thumping... yeah. I stayed awake long enough to call work, call my mum and then went back to sleep. Woke up around 2pm, feeling freezing, sweating my tits off, dehydrated. I downed a couple glasses of water, took a shower.. then sat down for half hour. Took my ass down to Tesco to get some crackers and some Lucozade - and confirmed that Lucozade is still one of the most vile tasting substances on Earth but damn it helps.

I'm having an X-Files kinda afternoon, and feeling really old. I'm watching S1 so it's a good 20 years old now and I remember watching it as a pre-teen. *sigh* It also LOOKS really old - the fashion, make-up, hair, cars, technology...

The Saturday Wibble-A-Thon

Good morning, internet people.

I'm pleased to report I'm feeling like I'm starting to pull myself up out of the funk of the last couple days. Feeling much more llama like and ready to re-start regular existance. Logic tells me it was a combination of stress from Lotte breaking down and a big work lunch that involved going somewhere I'd never been before, eating food I'd never eaten before and socialising with a large group of people.

I kinda just about survived the last couple of days but today I'm back up to raring to go. I'm just posting Collapse )
