The Morning Wibble

Ugh. It's early. Shenanigans are officially over as I dragged myself out of bed 45 minutes ago to get showered and dressed and ready for work. I haven't been up this early in like 3 weeks. It's torture, I tell you. Torture! *whines*

I slept through the night, somewhat fitfully but I slept. Dreams about working the lights at a Boyzone gig. Something to do with looking for the keys to Hogwarts. I'm already thinking it's going to be an early night tonight.

Also, fuck me it's cold. I got used to California temperatures and now... brrrr!

Lets see what work has in for me today, shall we?

The Morning Wibble

Feels a little like it took forever to get to sleep last night. There was lots of tossing and turning to get comfortable but once I was asleep, I slept hard. I have vague recollections of driving dreams.

Tonight, after work, I need to walk down to the off license and put some money on my gas & electricity and then go to the Amazon Locker and pick up a wee parcel that's waiting for me. Yay.

The Sunday Wibble-a-thon

Yesterday was a nice chill day, mostly spent catching up on youtube channels. Today I would like to get some words written and I would like to get some stuff done around the house. No pressure on myself, just if it gets done then great, if not, then that's also ok. I'm still reeling from getting so stressed Thurs/Fri and I've got a few big weekends coming up so...

The Saturday Wibble-a-thon

The morning is almost over but it's been a good one. I was up Tesco bright and early this morning, got my shopping done and put away. I'd been craving Rice Krispies for a few days and treated myself to some this morning... best bowl of cereal ever I swear.

The rest of the morning has been spent listening to music and reading.

It's Friday morning, 06:40, my alarm went off 10 minutes ago but I've been awake for about an hour already. I woke up because I was cold, although I didn't sleep particularly well all night - kept waking up. I didn't have my Fitbit on though so I don't know what my sleep stats were actually like. Note to self - stick it on charge when you're in the shower.

So, today: shower, dress, go to work for a couple of hours, go to the doctor, see what happens and take it from there.

The Sunday Wibble-a-thon

My body still hates me. I'd just recovered from Collectormania last weekend when I toddled up to Manchester on Friday to see Raintown. It was a nightmare drive - took me something like three and a half hours in stop-start traffic to do 80odd miles. I was hurting when I got there.

There were a few tables and chairs at the sides of the venue, so I grabbed one and sat down. Fully intending on being a good hurting llama. I sat for the support act, Robbie Kavanagh. Quite liked him. Accidentally heckled him. Must get his CD.

Raintown... well, I managed to sit for like half the intro and I was on my feet. Me, Gwen and George ignoring the fact everyone else was being boring and sitting. We were on our feet, front stage centre, dancing and rocking out.
I mean I was with my sticks but both P&C were frowning at me. (And I had been sitting ith them in the chippy like half hour earlier taking painkillers cos my knees hurt so, um...) To be fair, I only managed to stay up for maybe 4 songs? And then I had to get George to grab a chair. Which stayed at front centre and I was chair dancing. Their music just isn't... sit still and listen, y'know?

They LOVED the Superman bib I got for Alba-Rose. Paul even took a wee video and made me say hi to the camera so it's probably gonna be on the Manchester vlog *headdesk* I spent a lovely couple of hours with them both pre and post gig. I kinda love those two... can't wait for Brighton!

I have so many gig flails I could just ramble about but at the same time, I don't want to sound like one of those fans. It's just that they're my friends as well, y'know?
We have the kind of friendship where I sit with Claire and we're talking about Paul's ass *giggles*

So yeah, this weekend is legs up and rest. Prescription opiates are my friend. I think my plan for today will basically involve catching up on the last couple of episodes of NCIS, LA and NO (and my flist!). And Netflix thinks I should watch a 2015 Lucas Till movie called The Curse Of Drowners Cove. Kavan Smith's new Hallmark movie premiered last night so hopefully, I'll be able to acquire that soon too! :D
OH, and I need to finish the edits to my [community profile] stargate_summer fic!

First things first though, breakfast and Collapse )

... is it me, or was that a little Flanigan heavy? LOL

Finally actually Thursday

I was so convinced yesterday morning that it was Thursday, completely heartbroken when I got to work and realised it was on Wednesday *cries* Thankfully, today is Thursday this time!

The last couple days have been as manic work wise as expected, and Tuesday I basically got nothing done. Nothing. So stressful and the tour of our customer area ended up being about 3 times as long as planned and I was on my feet for over 2.5 hours. I was in PAIN.

Yesterday, despite not being Thursday, was pretty good. I even discovered I was wearing a size 16 top which was awesome - gonna have to start looking around at work trousers cos all my 18s are falling off me. Considering I was a 20 at the beginning of the year and I'm going shopping for size 16 trousers, that's a pretty incredible feeling you guys!

I managed to get over 600 words written last night, about 2/3 of the scene that I've been struggling with the most so that made me feel pretty good. Hoping to get that scene finished tonight and maybe move on to the post scene in Daniel's office. A Jack & Daniel scene is always pretty easy to flow through so I'm excited.

Today is hopefully going to be more of the same. A good work day, there's nothing booked for Learning Week today so I'd like to get my emails back to below 100 and have nothing go wrong. I'd like to finish reading Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. I'd like to try and get close to my step goal. I'd like to write another couple hundred words on my fic.

The Saturday Wibble-A-Thon

Good morning *looks at clock* um... good afternoon! A little later than I like to do my wibbles but I had a line-in this morning then went down into town to see my friend Emma who's moved her awesome little shop Vintage Geek into a much bigger shop and was having a grand opening party. There was a TARDIS and a dalek and cake! I bought myself a Harry Potter notebook and have my eye on a Alohamora doormat :)

The Saturday Wibble-A-Thon

Saturday morning, New Years Eve. Last day of 2016 and all that jazz. My plans are awfully normal, more Saturday than anything else. Grocery shopping in Tesco, walk down to the post office to send out some stuff I sold on ebay, buy a new toilet seat in Wilkos, come home and do some laundry and some dishes. Spend the afternoon/evening watching some NCIS LA and NCIS NO.

For now though, it's breakfast and Collapse )
Who Are You Calling Weird?

The Morning Wibble

And just like that, it's Monday morning again. Washed, showered, dressed. Pack up made. Glasses seem to hide the worst of the swelling and bruising around the eye although not all of it... really not looking forward to going into the office looking like this but what's a girl to do?
