Envoy of the Ayatan

Been a while since I've done an art round up (apart from the ArtFight roundup), so here's a bunch of sketches I've done in relation to the Ibrida comic I'm picking at and it's setting/characters.

So uh I've gone from not drawing much to drawing an awful lot so have an art dump. This isn't everything, trying to space some of it out a bit.

As a bit of a heads up, I'm gonna be changing my icon on all platforms at the beginning of 2020. It's been a long time coming. (for the new that may not matter, for the people that have been around I've had this default icon a long time)

I'm working on some new symbol stuff, two things. One is a full coat of arms, the other is a sort of minimal, unique personal symbol that'll be used for a new primary icon across all accounts. So here's my sketch page and some concepts I threw together to work on it.

I've tried for so many years to try to accomplish any ArtSlam goal and I've always caved after about a week or two. This is the first time I've seen it through to the end and I've even got a lot of completely finished pieces in the middle. Even if it's just busts and some of them a little lazy/fast it's still a lot more I've done for myself than I have in years and if anything the fact that I've managed to follow through to the end I think is a testament to how I'm improving, mentally.

I just need to finish up the human profiles/pictures for the Pretorians and I'll be more or less wrapped up!

Also I discovered it's easier to draw human faces if I give them dot eyes first and then fill in the eyes later after I finish with the face? Wild, but I'm not complaining.

It's been a while since my last sketch post, both on account of LJpics hosting uploads being a mess (hey it's still one of the easiest to use image hosts I got around) I'm actually looking back at my sketches like 'did I seriously not make a post for this' geeze I'm so far behind.

It's been a long time since I've done my art posts to my journals - not for lack of want but just because I was kinda unmotivated to art, among other things, for a really long time.

I think I'm gonna catch up but instead of chronological post dumping I think I'm going to post in thematic groups? similar subjects and all. This one's gonna be 'future munin' so spoilers I guess?
