From Robinson Crusoe to Die Hard it's shown up in every genre and is a long standing staple of sci fi. Which itself is a genre that lends itself to strange, alien, and extremely hostile environments.

Sep. 22nd, 2019 08:38 amcmdrnemoI was debating, when I first started this spork, doing it in a more MST style. With characters interacting with the text. But, I found that that approach doesn't work well for this book. Because of the short "action" based chapters you have to interact with it in a way that doesn't work well for characters. I will try that for the next book I try. Don't know what that'll be yet. Suggestions are welcome. I can pirate, or buy, anything.

He’s still about as useful as a screen door on a submarine and no smarter than the average picnic basket. So he makes poor life choices and then acts on them. If that wasn’t followed by praise for his brilliance by narration and other characters it would almost be tolerable.
