very underreported: they released an antipsychotic that is not horrible for you last year (cobenfy). from a population health perspective this is extremely ethical. hundreds of thousands of schizophrenics don't need to die early or experience anhedonia for the rest of their lives
severe schizophrenia appears to basically be the experience of a daily apocalypse for the experiencer. it breaks my heart to see people like this out on the streets because nothing else can support them. I am so so glad for this
