Program Notes

Twin Cities March was written as a tribute to all of those neighboring cities -- Minneapolis/St. Paul, Raleigh/Durham, Tampa/St. Petersburg, Dallas/Ft. Worth and all of the others, large and small, that coexist side by side. The march features two original tunes, each introduced separately and then performed simultaneously as a quod libet, with brass and woodwinds trading melodies.
