Program Notes

Prologue was written while Edgar Williams still a student at Winter Park (Fla.) High School. The sections of this composition should be played in two distinct styles. The "Allegro" sections should be played in a very marked style, while the "Andante" sections should be extremely fluid. Balance should be carefully worked out in the high woodwinds particularly in the allegro sections.
