Paul Anka
Biography
Paul Anka (b. 30 July 1941, Ottawa, Can.) is a Canadian singer, songwriter and actor.
Anka had early success as a singer/songwriter, recording recorded his first single, I Confess, when he was 14. Moving to New York at age 15, he recorded Diana, which went to number one on the pop charts. This led to a number of hits in the 1950s and 1960s. By the time he was 21 years of age, he had written over 200 songs and was a mainstay of the high school rock phenomenon.
Mr. Anka continued to sing and act for the rest of his life, achieving considerable success outside as well as inside the United States and Canada. He also opened a restaurant/nightclub in Las Vegas.
