Kate Agioritis

Biography

Kate Agioritis is an Australian composer, arranger, educator and instrumentalist.

Kate holds a Master of Music Education, as well as an Associate of Music Australia (AMusA) in Saxophone performance and has also studied Music Technology through the University of Newcastle and, most recently, Arranging through Berklee College of Music. She is a professional member of the Music Arrangers Guild of Australia (MAGA) and is currently Head of the Creative Arts Faculty at Whitsunday Anglican School in Queensland.

Kate performs in Saxophone Quartet 'Bird' and directs and performs in community ensemble 'The Bluewater Big Band'. She also enjoys playing in pit orchestras for various local musical productions.

Today, Kate has an extensive catalogue including various solo, chamber, orchestral and band works, with her small ensemble arrangements proving popular with student and adult performers worldwide. She founded Musika Publishing Australia in 2011.
