Program Notes

This first serious overture for the young band is filled with all the vigor and passion. Terrific teaching opportunities abound, including a chance to work on independent parts (with doublings to ensure success), optional trombone glissandos, and a few eighth-note passages to develop technique. The expanded percussion and solidly scored parts are sure to build confidence.
