- A sad accident occurred on the Hawkesbury yesterday evening. Richard Wall, a farmer, with two daughters, was returning from Windsor in a boat and were caught in a squall at full reach. The boat upset and all three were drowned. The bodies were found this morning; those of the father and younger daughter being clasped together.

ST ANDREWS, SYDNEY? CHURCH OF ENGLAND? note: HISTORY_ST ANDREWS, SYDNEY ST ANDREWS SCOTS CHURCH, the 1st established Church of Scotland in Sydney. Built in Kent Street near Bathurst Street (behind St Andrew's Cathedral)it was opened for divine service on 13 September 1835. ST ANDREWS CATHEDERAL, Located in central Sydney was consecrated in 1868, making it the oldest cathedral in Australia, but not old enough for Richard & Elizabeths wedding in 1853. ST ANDREW'S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH - Dover Road, Rose Bay. The Church was opened for Divine Service on November 1, 1913 and contains stained glass windows, 'barn-Gothic' rafters, the 'Hill' organ (1885), the cedar pews, stone font, memorial plaques and communion plate (1839) which came from the original St Andrew's Scots Church built in 1835.
