Ebenezer Stow (1668)

Biography

Ebenezer Stow was born in Concord, Massachusetts, on June 28, 1668, the son of Nathaniel and Martha (Metcalf) Stow.^[1][2]

On May 2, 1700, he married, in Concord, Massachusetts, Abigail Parlin, daughter of Nicholas and Sarah (Hanmore) Parlin. They settled in Concord and had eight children, all born in Concord:^[1][3]

2. Ephraim, born February 24, 1704.^[5]
3. Martha, born October 22, 1706.^[6]
4. Daniel, born June 22, 1708.^[7]
5. Josiah, born July 12, 1712; died September 13, 1712.^[8][9]
6. Amos, born April 15, 1718.^[10]
7. Thankful, born February 10, 1720/21; died April 19, 1720/21.^[11]
8. Nathan, born May 26, 1722.^[12]

Research Notes

• Josiah, who died as an infant, is first cited in the town records as "son of Ebenezer Stow and Hester his wife,"^[8] but a second death record with the same date cites "abigail" as his mother.^[9]
