The death entry in the NSW BDM appears to be at odds with the parents, listing an Andrew and Margaret, however, a Laura Ann Cross was born to a John and Eliza at the estimated date of birth calculated from her obituary, and, the death notice for John Cross mentions him dying at the home of his daughter Mrs. Mason (nee Cross). A Laura Ann Cross is listed as marrying Samuel Mason in the registry.
