an identity modifier term somewhat similar to multiself in which one wears 'masks' in order to highlight or amplify aspects of one's identity, in a similar vein to how Greek theatre masks were used to highlight one emotion.
a mask is not separate from one's identity, instead simply a section of it that one has chosen to put at the forefront.
having masks is often, but not always, voluntary, and one may have as many or as few as they please. a mask may encompass a singular facet of one's identity (such as, for example, boyhood) or may encompass a larger slice of it (a bit like how a game demo is simply a slice of the full game).
