yk how everyone’s saying that zhongli is going to be anastasya’s ally in the takeover? well, imagine if zhongli’s motivation for all that takes him back to when guizhong died. we don’t know much about her death, but we know that she turned into dust (because, duh). caught in the chaos of war, morax probably never got to mourn her death properly—even if he had centuries to do so. she’s also the reason why he became more grounded, pursuing wisdom while maintaining order and balance for their people.

I REALLY HOPE that she’s mentioned once again. she haunted the narrative of liyue through madame ping and zhongli—now that he’ll possibly be in snezhnaya, I believe lore will be dropped again.

++ for added angst, imagine if he’d try to resurrect her as well, but she looks at him with disdain.
