“If you want to talk to boys and have a boyfriend, talk to me instead, and I’ll assume the role, okay, angel?”
You don’t really remember who you were before being taken in by the Gojo clan. Everything’s fuzzy, like your life started when you were twelve, instead of at first breath like everybody else.
The very first vivid memory you have is of Satoru. He was seated right next to you on the kotatsu as winter washed over the plains and ridges of Kyoto. You watched the snowflakes fall from inside, wondering what it would feel like on your skin. The young boy watched you with intent. He still remembers you being brought to the estate. You were so confused. Cute, he thought.
Your eyes seemed to be too focused on the snowy scenery outside. His hair’s as white as snow, and his eyes are as blue as ice, won’t you look at him instead?
“Do you want to go outside, angel?” You loved the pet name from the moment he first said it. He used it in place of your real name from when you were too shy to even look at him.
You nod at his question. You so desperately wanted to feel what it was like to play in the mixture of fluffy white. Would it perhaps be powdery and light or slushy and wet? You remember being too excited to wait for Satoru to stand! For the first time in a very long while, he went against the clan’s wishes. He took you outside, despite being told by the elders to keep you put. Ever since that day, he became wholly enamored with you.
The clan elders liked to pretend that they teated you well, but the bruises and scars that’d show up littered on your skin every time Satoru would leave you alone to train for a few hours says otherwise. At first, you tried to hide it from him, afraid of what the elders would do if you tattled. But one night, three winters after you first stepped foot in the estate, while sharing a private bath with the sweet white-haired boy, the makeup you tried to cover the dark spots with started fading.
“What are those?” He asked, voice suddenly shifting from playful to serious. Even he remembers the moment as clear as day. His gaze fell on your eyes, trying to gauge your reaction, but you blatantly refused to let him see your face. So with an authoritative voice, he said, “Look at me.” And you did.
He moved closer to you, caressing your face gently with his fingers. “Did you do this to yourself?”
“Will you tell me who did?”
You hesitated for a bit, looking to your left and right hoping for an answer to appear out of thin air.
You put your hands on his thigh to bring yourself closer to his ear. “The elders…” You whispered so meekly, and all Satoru saw was red. One day, he was going to kill them. However, now’s too soon. He pulled you close, giving the marks a soft kiss as he mentally cursed himself for not knowing how to use his cursed energy to heal.
His lips made its way to your neck and below your collar. To the two of you, kisses were normal. He told you that it was his way of showing you how loved you are, and when you kiss him back, it shows your acceptance of him in spite of everything.
That night was only a year ago, and he’s been waaayyy more protective ever since. Now, you’re both third years in Tokyo Jujutsu High. On your first day as juniors, he made two friends, both within the same age group—Suguru and Shoko.
Usually, you train with Shoko. During the first few months of being here, she even taught you how to heal your burns and bruises, which is a-okay with Satoru. It’s when you train with Suguru that it becomes a problem.
The first and last time he caught you sparring with Suguru, he was livid, and he showed it.
He walked over to the mats where Suguru was teaching you how to get out of being pinned down. He watched as his, supposed, best friend hold your arms down while hovering over you.
“Hm, having fun, Suguru?” He said, announcing his presence.
Immediately, you stopped struggling against the man above you and smiled sweetly at Satoru. “‘Toru!” You exclaim, but he cuts you off.
“I was asking Suguru a question, baby. You shouldn’t butt in.”
“Oh, so you’re defending her now?” Satoru interjected as the raven-haired fella attempted to defend you.
Suguru got off of you, helping you sit up while standing tall to face his friend’s cerulean gaze that seemed a bit too dark right now. “What’s with you, Satoru?”
You dusted your uniform off, adjusting your stockings as you got up. Still, the two men towered over you. You looked over at them, Satoru looked angry while Suguru looked confused.
Satoru suddenly shifted his mood, smiling and ignoring Suguru. He stepped closer to you and started fixing your hair. “Oh, baby girl. You messed your hair up.”
You were taken aback by the abrupt change but decided not to go against it. You’ve seen Satoru mad, and you never wanted to be the one to coax the devil out of him. “‘m sorry, ‘Toru…” You said shyly.
He smiled. “You’re forgiven, angel.”
The jealous boy wrapped his arm around your waist, leading you away from the training grounds to tell you off gently. Before fully leaving, he glared at Suguru over his shoulder as if telling him that you’re off limits.
It plays in your mind like it all happened yesterday. He dragged you out but his pull wasn’t rough. “Why were you sparring with Suguru?” He asked as he’s opening the keys to your shared dorm. As far as you knew, it wasn’t allowed according to the student handbook, but you know Satoru probaby got them to make a special exception. He always got what he wanted.
“Suguru was just teaching me self-defense, ‘Toru…” You tried to reason.
“Self-defense? I teach you self-defense. Why would you need him?!”
“You’ve never taught me what Suguru was teaching…”
“And what exactly was he teaching you, huh, princess?” He backed you up against a wall, caging you in with his arms.
“Escaping while being pinned down.” You murmur, unable to look into his eyes.
He tilted your chin up, so you’d look into his eyes. “I can teach you that. If you want to talk to boys, talk to me, okay?”
Things were only made worse when Kento Nanami and Yu Haibara entered the school. Satoru hates when you hang out with them, especially when you help Nanami with any type of work.
Simultaneously, people started talking more and more about your weird relationship with each other.
“Don’t you think it’s weird that Satoru’s always with her?” Utahime asks Shoko, creeped out by the way Satoru always seems to hover over you.
The short-haired brunette only shrugs, used to the way you and Satoru act. “They’re just like that. As far as I know, Y/N has no other family besides Satoru.”
Shoko raises her hands in mock surrender. “Woah, woah, woah! I meant like—um… found family…?”
“There’s nothing familial about that.”
“Yeah…” Well, what was Shoko supposed to say? To everyone else, you and Satoru looked like a pair of absolute weirdos!
Far from the two gossiping girls, in the privacy of your dorm, you stand on the tips of your toes, hands on Satoru’s chest. “You’re so cute, baby girl.” He rasped in your ear, which made you smile so sweetly.
You giggle and kiss his lips as he steadies you with one hand on your bare hip with bruises that aren’t inflicted with harm but the rough love of your white-haired savior and the other behind your head.
He pulls away gently, breath warm against your mouth. “If you want to talk to boys and have a boyfriend, talk to me instead, and I’ll assume the role, okay, angel?”
He’ll never let anyone else have you.
