I kinda wanna bring up bpd to my therapist because I have a PLETHORA of evidence of me having it, but it seems as though anytime someone mentions the possibility of having something they immediately find any reason to rule it out
I have a great therapist who I trust a lot more than many others I’ve had but I still don’t know how to fully trust a therapist to take me seriously
This is especially scary because I am also only 16 and even though many people can and do get diagnosed at this age it seems that most people think of bpd as something only diagnosable in adulthood
This would also mean that I’d have to describe my self destructive and impulsive behavior and one of them is illegal and the other might count as something that she would have to tell my mother which would get me in insane amounts of trouble
I might just wait till I’m 21 so i’m an adult, everything is legal, and she isn’t obligated to inform my mom of anything
I guess I could lie because even if I say I don’t experience the impulsive behaviors I’d still meet more than enough of the criteria (I’d have 8/9 as opposed to the real 9/9 with 5/9 being the diagnostic criteria)
