Forgive the rambling ADHD fueled introduction. I've been playing through Final Shape in my hunter and I forgot the profound sadness that comes with hearing someone else voice Commander Zavala.
Talking to a friend at our weekly Magic the Gathering game. We somehow got on the topic of moons, which I believe should be blown up.
Him (talking about Genshin): Please don't blow up the moon. Is waifu.
Me (talking about Destiny 2): Ours is haunted. Dark magic space bugs. Not very waifu.
(Look, I have three settings: Destiny lore, Mass Effect lore, and utter confusion when my turn comes around in MtG.)

I get cranky every time I see a solo dungeon guide that's like this is the load out you need. This is the class and the mods you need! Bitch I will solo these dungeons through sheer force of will before I put on a meta build to do so. I strongly believe that a generous application of arc energy will solve all of my problems eventually. Will it take me quite a few phases? Yes. But I'll be cackling every time that giant lightning beam shoots out of my hands.
Equilibrium is great but Duality, you'll always be my favorite. (Don't worry, Warlords. You're also a special girl to me.)

Equilibrium is fantastic. But also, I will forever carry trauma from the experience that is Ghosts of the Deep. Some of which was self-inflicted because I did have to solo it a couple of times. So the bar is pretty low on me enjoying a dungeon. lol But the new one is great because you get to trick a guy into falling into a hole. Slapstick comedy.
I was finally able to actually check Tumblr after a few days of work (holiday retail is a nightmare, as I'm sure some of you know) and was blown away by the notes and whatever on my last post. I'm just cranky that after nearly 2600 hours in Destiny, I'm only now discovering this awesome community.
I beat the Renegades story so now I'm grinding out invasions for the aesthetic.

Normally, I scream into this void about Mass Effect. But posting a witty remark about Destiny 2 Renegades has pulled me into the D2 fandom side of Tumblr. I love it here. It's so positive. At least, what I'm being shown. It's great to see my feed full of posts from people who actually enjoy the game they're playing rather than man-babies who would rather bitch endlessly than just go play another game.
I finished Renegades. I loved it. Can't wait for what comes next. I will 100% burn something to ground, though, if Bungie tries to fake me out again when it comes to Eido. Don't touch my favorite nerd. I will cry.
For real, though, who else has read the lore books in the game for Bael? Please. Christ or Traveler or whatever. Do I agree with his methods or his goals? Obviously not. But I do get his motivation because damn. lol That would fuck me up a little, too.
I think everyone should read the lore books, he deserves recognition for the tragedy of his life. The city deserves liberation from the Vanguard, ghosts prevent the dead from resting!!
Dredgen Bael is clearly the right side to be on, the only side to be on. His methods are on point and he wants what’s best for humanity!!
LOL I was confused by someone going so hard in favor of Bael and then I read the username. This is a pro-Vanguard account. When the normal denizens of the Last City figure out how to not stay dead after getting shot -- or a cabal drop pod landing on them -- then we can have a different conversation.

One of my favorite parts about playing Destiny with my friends is one of their reactions to learning some of the out of pocket lore shit. Outside of her reaction to *that* revelation about Bael (not spoiling anything, go play yoursef), my favorite reaction of hers so far is the horror when she learned that Xur was just a dude once. She thought the Nine just made him that way.
