I really am liking the hunting trip theory, whether all or some of it turns out to be right or not. It's so poetic.

Jack makes a tragic mistake, has his good friend who can't say no to him help clean it up, goes on with life because he's "strong" and "can handle it" while his friend spirals further into addiction to forget it ever happened, everything's just peachy for nearly ten years until Jack once again asks a favor of his good friend, who still can't say no to him and makes a tragic mistake.

That shit rhymes.

I disagree with the idea that it's too random or out there for "Bon" to be a character we haven't encountered before or for Jack and Felix to have this secret in their backstories. The series has been in production for years, but we're still only in episode 5 of season 1. It's perfectly normal for there to still be characters and concepts we haven't been formerly introduced to yet. We won't have all the answers for a long, long time. We don't even have all the questions yet, I imagine.

"But Jack would never--!"

I doubt we know jack about Jack.

we've definitely posted about this before but if i see one more person act like the only forms of childhood trauma that exist are abuse from family or sexual assault i will actually start crying and it will be so so so loud everyone will hear it from every corner of the earth

Natural disasters! I never see anyone talk about that one and as a result I spent years thinking that watching my hometown get destroyed on the news and subsequently having to uproot my entire life at the age of seven wasn't Real Trauma because there was no Abuser™
