Blesma, The Limbless Veterans
The only national charity supporting limbless veterans for life. Read more
Founded in the aftermath of the First World War, Blesma is the UK's only national Armed Forces charity dedicated exclusively to supporting veterans who have lost limbs, lost the use of limbs, or lost sight during or as a result of their service, and it supports them for the rest of their lives.
Blesma provides practical grants, specialist prosthetics support, welfare advice and a rich programme of rehabilitation activities that help limbless veterans rebuild their independence, confidence and quality of life. Last year, it helped over 3,000 veterans across the UK, as well as hundreds of widows and families. Every pound raised helps a veteran live a full and fulfilling life after service.
