The Saskatoon Mamba 2026 Summer Intern Program is your gateway to gaining hands-on experience in the business, operations, and culture of a top-tier professional basketball organization in Saskatchewan.

Program Overview


This is a 16-week, full-time summer internship where you’ll dive into the world of pro sports. You’ll work minimum 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with evenings and weekends as needed. You’ll get real responsibility, direct mentorship, and the opportunity to be part of a team committed to excellence across the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL).


Interns will collaborate across departments, including:

  • Marketing
  • Business Operations
  • Media and Communications
  • Game Day Operations
  • Ticketing
  • Basketball Operations
  • General assignments based on your interests and strengths


Who We’re Looking For



We want candidates who:

  • Are enrolled in an accredited university or college (undergraduate or graduate level)

  • Can commit full-time from mid April through August 2026

  • Have strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

  • Demonstrate leadership, creativity or initiative in past projects, classes or work

  • Thrive in fast-paced environments with high standards and visible impact

  • Is excited about building community through sports, culture and entertainment

INTERN EXPERIENCE

  • Work on real projects that contribute to our 2026 season
  • Gain experience in event planning, fan engagement, sales strategy or media content, depending on your skills and interests
  • Be on-site during all home games and key community events
  • Learn from the Mamba’s full-time staff and cross-functional leadership
  • Develop tools and experiences to set you apart after graduation
  • Be part of something bigger by helping us bring Saskatchewan together through the power of basketball

Timeline and Location

Compensation: Paid internship program; academic credit preferred (where applicable)

The Saskatoon Mamba represent the next chapter of professional basketball in Saskatchewan.


Originally founded as the Saskatchewan Rattlers, the franchise has been part of the Canadian Elite Basketball League since its inaugural season in 2019, making it one of the league’s founding members. That same year, the team made history by becoming the first CEBL champions, setting a standard for competitiveness, community connection, and belief that still defines the organization today.

About the Saskatoon Mamba

The Saskatoon Mamba (previously Saskatchewan Rattlers) tipped off their inaugural season at SaskTel Centre in May 2019 and went on to win the inaugural Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) championship. The Mamba are active members of the community, participating in countless events that connect the team with diverse communities through sport, entertainment, and arts and culture.
