Project GO has shaped my military career and leadership by giving me a new perspective. I came back from my program with more confidence to pursue a language, which I hadn't had before. While it was definitely daunting going to India for my first experience outside of the US, it was amazing.

Air Force First Lieutenant MaKayla Hansen

Hindi, University of Wisconsin-Madison (2018)

Beyond improving my language proficiency, [Project GO] let me connect with people in the country. Project GO and the skills it provided were really a stepping-off point for me, in terms of growing my professional competencies.

Army First Lieutenant Austin Price

Chinese, CSUSB, Georgia Tech, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (2013, 2014, 2015)

Living and studying abroad in Estonia and Latvia [through Project GO and the Language Enabled Airmen Program (LEAP)] accelerated my ability to adapt to new environments, a vital skill for building trust and rapport with foreign officers. My cross-cultural understanding allows me to break through cultural barriers...I can use my language to find logistical solutions across any swath of Eastern European countries.

Air Force First Lieutenant Samantha Nordmark

Russian, University of North Georgia and University of Pittsburgh (2018 and 2019)
