I’m Katie Beck. My husband Jon and I moved to Wrenshall in 2020 with our two daughters, Stella and Lilly. Like many families, our first year here was isolating, and we questioned whether a small district could meet our needs or truly feel like home. That changed in fall 2021. From our first real connection with the school, we felt it—this is a place where people care. Staff didn’t just support our kids; they welcomed our whole family. What we found is a community that shows up for one another. That’s why this decision matters so much. I support a “YES” vote on May 12th to consolidate with Carlton. Together, we can expand academic programs, activities, and athletics while building long-term stability. Together, we can offer our kids more—without losing what makes this place special. A “YES” vote means more opportunities, stronger programs, and a proactive step toward a stable future. No district is perfect, but I’d rather face challenges together. This vote is about all of our kids and ensuring they have the opportunities they deserve—now and in the future. Wrenshall has always shown up for its kids. This is one of those moments. Please join us in voting “YES” on May 12th. Let’s build RAPTOR strong—together.
