Edited 12 days agobought my copy in 2022. Strong crackling on a mint copy that has been ultrasonic washed. Otherwise a good release, has more bass than the CD and the records are really pretty. Audio cuts off at around 19khz, OG 2004 record goes higher
I've got to be a voice to agree with another reviewer below: compared to the sound of the 2007 black vinyl release this color variant doesn't hold a candle to the earlier pressing. If sound quality and wanting the music to really jump off the record and through your speakers than purchase the earlier black vinyl variant, it's far superier. You can just tell by the amount of dead wax the color variant has, the runout groove is massive on all sides of the color pressings. The black pressing really utilizes the full spread of the vinyl on each side.- Sounds amazing, no surface noise on my copy. Discs look really good, but my only complaint is the oversized jacket. You may need a bigger sleeve for this thick boy
- Edited one year agoReally nicely packaged but sounds abit weak vs the 2007 black 2xLP edition (even in spite of the miss-press of Pot Holderz and One Beer being reversed!)... its clear that all the lyrical waxing below comes from owners who only own this cut. In isolation this sounds OK-ish but vs the black edition its not as lively, abit weak on the bottom end and has a more shut in soundstage. Also theres alot lower volume with this version and it has to be dialled up too much imo. But hey, the packaging is lovely!!!

great pressing! my copy skips near the end of verse 2 on beef rapp. other than that, sounds great!
This is justice. Such a great album deserves an equally great presentation. The cover art is beautiful, the gatefold can be looked at for hours. Vocals sound huge and clear, beats sound bigger and cleaner than ever, samples are quality and sounds like a DJ is cutting the album in real time.
