Title: Philadelphia deserves a representative who will fight for working people and stand up to MAGA, not benefit themselves.

Summary:

Voters need to see on the go and see on broadcast that Chris Rabb is a lifelong advocate for working families and is endorsed by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the Working Families Party, and the Philadelphia Inquirer. The Inquirer wrote that Rabb has “consistently offered the boldest and most ambitious leadership” in the race. Voters need to know who Rep. Rabb is and understand that instead of business as usual politics in Philadelphia that fails to deliver for our communities, he represents real change. Rep. Rabb knows that Democrats in this moment need to fight harder and deliver bolder reforms to defeat MAGA, not benefit themselves.

In comparison, voters need to see on the go that in the State Senate, Sharif Street was accused of conspiring with Republicans to push a gerrymandered Republican map for personal political gain.” Street was too busy looking out for himself to run the state Democratic Party, which saw “bruising losses” under his leadership and resulted in massive Republican gains at all levels of the ballot. In contrast, Rep. Rabb is an accomplished five-term state Representative who has a proven track record — leading the fight to establish PA’s first-ever statewide police misconduct database. Street uses his power to work with Republicans to benefit himself while Rabb fights Republicans to deliver for us.

Proof points:

Rep. Rabb has courageously taken a stand against Israel’s genocide in Gazaand introduced over 100 bills including legislation to lower taxes for working families and make billionaires pay their fair share, expand access to healthcare and housing, and protect clean air and water. His bill to create a statewide police misconduct database became the first-of-its-kind police accountability law in the state.

Philadelphia Inquirer Endorsement Highlights:

On Rabb:

  • “While all three major contenders have their strengths, the Inquirer Editorial Board recommends voters choose Chris Rabb.”

  • "But as the contender who will best represent the interests of his constituents, the Editorial Board endorses Chris Rabb."

  • “The founding member of the Pennsylvania Progressive Caucus has the necessary experience to take on the role, having represented parts of Northwest Philadelphia in the General Assembly since 2017. He also has the fire, passion, and conviction people are looking for in the current political climate.”

  • “From the Iran war to healthcare, from climate to affordability, and from housing to immigration, Rabb has consistently offered the boldest and most ambitious leadership. He also has a welcome history of working outside the local Democratic machine.”

  • “While his rivals tout big endorsements, Rabb has always relied on persuading voters. That’s a welcome change from business as usual in Philadelphia. Too often, political seats are passed down like inheritances. In some cases, incumbents even retire early to give their preferred successor a leg up on the competition.”
