ABOUT CHRIS RABB
This is the first open seat in Pennsylvania’s 3rd Congressional District in 35 years — the nation’s bluest congressional district.
First elected in 2016, Rep. Chris Rabb (PA-200) is a 5-term state representative in the largest full-time state legislature in the U.S. He proudly represents a majority Black, mixed income legislative district of nearly 70,000 people across 4 neighborhoods in northwest Philadelphia.
RepRabb — as he is popularly known — has championed bold ideas that once seemed impossible, some of which are now enshrined in law or become embraced across Pennsylvania.
He has spent his career challenging corporate power, advancing social justice, and standing up for communities too often ignored by political insiders. Now, he’s taking that fight to Capitol Hill to join the ranks of other bold progressive public servants, amplify the voices of working families, and defy monied interests and establishment politics.
A registered Democrat, Chris Rabb identifies as a Democratic Socialist because he believes democracy must work for everyone — not just the wealthy few. Inspired by an ancestral calling forged by a legacy of forbearers committed to racial justice, RepRabb believes that a society rooted in care, fairness and shared prosperity is both moral and achievable.
RepRabb is running for Congress because it is time to put community over commerce, expand democracy, strengthen workers’ rights, guarantee access to healthcare, housing, clean air and water, and confront the danger that concentrated wealth poses to real self-government. He is a committed to dismantling systems of oppression, ending pay-to-play politics, and building a government that answers to voters, not billionaires and corporate lobbyists.
ROOTED IN HISTORY,
FIGHTING FOR OUR FUTURE.
ABOUT OUR CAMPAIGN LOGO:
Rabb’s Meat Market, founded by formerly enslaved man Jack Rabb (Chris Rabb’s great-great grandfather) in Columbus, Mississippi after Emancipation, was more than a business — it was an act of freedom and self-determination.
Our campaign logo is a faithful digital recreation of the hand-painted letters from the Rabb’s Meat Market storefront — and a reminder that we are all rooted in our ancestral legacy for resistance and renewal.
