The train covers roughly 544 miles between New York (Penn Station) and Toronto in a long single day (schedule times commonly land around 12+ hours end to end; always verify the current timetable). Major stops typically include Albany–Rensselaer, Utica, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, Niagara Falls (N.Y. and/or Ontario depending on processing), and Toronto.

Daylight tip: Sit on the river side of the Hudson when you can (west-facing windows for much of the scenic Hudson running south of Albany—confirm direction and car orientation). Niagara visibility depends on schedule and weather.
