This is the talk page for Miniapolis (who is proud to be a Wikipedia editor) and is in fond memory of Corinne, one of WP's very best copyeditors. Although I can be reached by email, I prefer keeping discussions on-wiki as much as possible. Due to time constraints, I no longer accept direct copyedit requests; please list articles requiring copyediting for GAN, FAC and the like on the Guild of Copy Editors request page (and consider pitching in with the GOCE, which can always use more help!) Since I take the occasional wikibreak, feel free to undo any administrative action I've taken as you see fit.

Election news: Project coordinators play an important role in our WikiProject. Following the mid-year Election of Coordinators, we welcomed GoldRomean to the coordinator team. Dhtwiki remains as lead coordinator, and Miniapolis and Mox Eden return as coordinators. Request for advice - conflict of interest

Hi Miniapolis. Could I please ask for your advice about another issue? Your prevous advice was very helpful!

Short version: a corporation called Informa is trying to paste some sentences from their 2024 annual report as a new lead section in Wikipedia's article about the company. The official conflict-of-interest process has stalled.

Long version: Before plagiarism was detected, the company's desired revision was officially flagged as a conflict of interest. So the company was required to propose new text for community feedback. Because I had previously updated the company's logo in their article, I was asked to participate in the process. So I provided several rounds of substantive feedback, about half of which may have been accepted. When I looked at the company's 2024 annual report, however, I saw that the proposed new lead section was copied from parts of the report. I've commented on this WP:PLAG issue about six times. But after each comment, one or more Informa contributors change the talk subject or designate the plagiarism comments as irrelevant. Unfortunately, I have run out of time to participate in that process. But if I exit, a likely outcome is the company using parts of its annual report on Wikipedia. Hi again! In the above situation, things are moving forward in an unexpected way. One of the other participants in the Informa COI (mentioned above) just threatened me with a COI process. So I explained that I'm not an employee of that corporation or a competitor; that my goals were those of a real-world editor (consistency, completeness, and clarity); and that I would be glad to step back from the Informa COI process. To facilitate that exit, I have unsubscribed from all content and talk related to Informa on Wikipedia. Would any other actions normally be advisable at this point? I see that the page has been returned to mainspace (thanks, Jonesey95, and I found two more dablinks :-)); you can list it for copyediting at WP:GOCE/REQ. I smell LLM use, however (puffery is generally a dead giveaway), and for that reason am concerned about your insistence on not touching the references; irrelevant or non-existent sources are other characteristics of LLMs, and violate WP's verifiability policy. I'm surprised that the page does not appear in any other-language Wikipedias. All the best, Miniapolis 18:39, 29 September 2025 (UTC)

I did not examine the page for LLM output, but feel free to tag it as suspicious. Dead DOIs are sometimes an indicator, but I checked one by searching for the title, and I found it. – Jonesey95 (talk) 18:42, 29 September 2025 (UTC)

Regarding the Kratošija article

Hello Miniapolis,

Thank you very much for taking the time to review the Kratošija article. I would like to clarify that the text is not AI-generated. I personally wrote it, using published scientific sources. In fact, I am also the author of the article on Kratošija in Serbian Wikipedia, which I then adapted and expanded into English with additional references.

I am very open to copyediting suggestions that could help improve grammar, tone, or neutrality. Your guidance is much appreciated.
