Sageuk and Sidaegeuk
editIt should be noted that Sageuk actually describes films based on history, while Sidaegeuk refers to fiction stories set in a historical era, like Joseon dynasty. Now, this article refers in the beginning to the article Historical drama, which then mentions "Historical drama includes historical fiction and romances, adventure films, and swashbucklers." But that would not be true for Sageuk. That would be Sidaegeuk. The terms quite directly translate to "history play" and "period play". --Christian140 (talk) 08:54, 27 May 2020 (UTC)
Year of Events
editIt would be more applicable to the title of historical dramatization if at least the century of events being portrayed (both fiction and nonfiction settings) is given rather than just the year of release. Otherwise this is just a page listing that could be in any category. If someone is willing to make this change that would be appreciated. Maybe an extra column. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.29.10.155 (talk) 22:43, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
