Arirang is a top-importance article in this project, so I think it should be improved to Good Article status. (It is currently C-class.) The current quality of the article seems to be good, so I think it needs only a few revisions. It would be nice if others who are familiar with the GA nomination process could help. There is quite a bit proposed on this page it seems. Most importantly, the article needs to be split as it is extremely lengthy currently and there are multiple proposals on how to do that. I know this is important to Korean history (top importance), so I would really appreciate if knowledgeable people about Korea could add to the discussions.
To avoid anything to do with canvassing, I have not left a comment myself.

- You can still comment in any of those threads while posting on wikiprojects. Canvassing would be asking people to vote a certain way grapesurgeon (talk) 03:26, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- Ok, I have done so. Pietrus1 (talk) 06:11, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
Request for articles surrounding North Korea
edit1. Bumping the Pak Chang-ok article to C-class, or at least Start-class. I have added quite a bit but it is unlikely that this article will ever contain much information considering the nature of North Korea.
2. Check the military rank of Pang Ho-san in different Korean sources. The original creator of this article listed him as Army General (Daejang) so I kept it as is but Chinese sources only ever recorded him being raised to Lieutenant General (Chungjang). His photo in the article also shows 2 stars. Can anyone check against Daejang?
The Namuwiki placed his real name as Lee Cheon-bu while the ancient website for Korean notables had "Lee Cheon-bu" as his alias instead.
3. Many earlier North Korean political figures (those who were purged, I mean) have really messy death dates estimation. Sometimes, it's placed just around the time they've been purged without any "circa" indication. Sometimes, estimations from a few English sources seem wildly off from Korean and Chinese sources. This is a relevant issue that needs to be checked more often.
P/S: As for the reason I seek out the main WikiProject Korea, it's mainly due to the low rates of activity for WikiProject North Korea's main talk page. Bloody-pin (talk) 09:41, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Bloody-pin You are allowed to change the ratings on any article, including articles you have created or improved. Simply edit the talk page and change "Stub" to C:
{{WikiProject banner shell|class=Stub|blp=no|listas=Pak, Chang Ok|becomes{{WikiProject banner shell|class=C|blp=no|listas=Pak, Chang Ok|. You can also use the script WP:RATER to help with this. Toadspike [Talk] 12:08, 9 May 2026 (UTC) - To add onto Toadspike, ratings below GA are pretty low-stakes. They're basically just for tracking statistics about how articles are doing. Few would care if you changed grades for many articles. You can even rate articles you write freely.
- No comment on 2 and 3. On your P/S, just post here from now on; WPNK's talk page should honestly just be made into a redirect pointing here, I forgot it even existed and don't monitor it at all. grapesurgeon (talk) 13:58, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you two! Bloody-pin (talk) 04:29, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
Saint Satine
editHi! I'm working on a draft for Saint Satine, a new girl group from Hybe and Geffen Records (Draft:Saint Satine). Since they just debuted and were formed through the survival show World Scout: The Final Piece, I would appreciate any help with expanding the discography section or finding more independent sources to establish notability. Thank you. Techgamer534 (talk) 11:54, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
Help needed for upcoming boy band draft: Draft:And2ble
editHi everyone! I am currently helping to clean up and expand the draft for Draft:And2ble, a new South Korean boy band under Yuehua Entertainment scheduled to debut in just a few days, on May 26, 2026. The group features well-known members from Zerobaseone and Evnne (including Zhang Hao, Ricky, Kim Gyu-vin, Han Yu-jin, and Yoo Seung-eon). Given their imminent debut, I would highly appreciate any help from fellow editors to improve the draft before it goes live. Specifically, assistance with the following would be amazing:
- Adding and verifying reliable third-party sources (Korean or global music media).
- Setting up the infobox parameters correctly.
- Preparing the discography and videography table structures for the debut release.
Thank you so much for your time and help! Techgamer534 (talk) 17:43, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
Draft proposals for Saint Satine members (Lexie Levin, Samara Siqueira and Emily Kelavos)
editHi! Now that Draft:Saint Satine is in development, I think we have strong ground to create independent drafts for three of its members, as they have notable pre-debut activities that meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines for creative professionals. They are:
- Emily Kelavos: Former competitive dancer named Teen Female Dancer of the Year (2021 Nationals), signed with Bloc LA talent agency, and performed at Coachella 2025 as a background dancer for XG. She also participated in Dream Academy.
- Samara Siqueira: She participated in Dream Academy and starred in music videos for The Bootcampers.
- Lexie Levin: Widely covered by media like Vogue HK due to her self-producing background and her viral withdrawal from Dream Academy to prioritize mental health.
If anyone is interested in co-creating or mentoring these drafts, I can help gather independent reliable sources from Teen Vogue, Vogue HK, and Grazia to back them up. Let me know your thoughts! Techgamer534 (talk) 10:30, 21 May 2026 (UTC)
Drafts opened for Saint Satine members (Emily Kelavos, Lexie Levin, Samara Siqueira) - Collaboration welcome!
editHi community! Now that the master article for Draft:Saint Satine is underway, I have set up three independent biographical drafts for its members to document their extensive individual pre-debut careers:
- Draft:Emily Kelavos: Details her background as Teen Female Dancer of the Year (2021), her recent appearance dancing with XG at Coachella 2025, and her participation on Dream Academy.
- Draft:Lexie Levin: Covers her songwriting background in Stockholm and her highly publicized mental health advocate run on Dream Academy.
- Draft:Samara Siqueira: Includes her early work with The Bootcampers in Brazil and her 7th-place finish on Dream Academy.
The drafts have been structured properly with baseline infoboxes, inline references (from Vogue HK, Bandwagon Asia, IMDb, etc.), and clean draft categories. Please feel free to jump in and help expand their career histories, verify additional international media sources, polish the prose before they are submitted for mainspace review, or adding an image uploaded from Wikimedia Commons. Thank you for your collaborative help! Techgamer534 (talk) 10:42, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
