"Now, I'm a bubble wrap fanatic, as is Christopher Judge, so the two of us are like, 'Yay! Bubble wrap!' and we were throwing ourselves against the wall, laughing our heads off! Or we'd be sitting with a bit we'd pulled from the wall, happily going 'Phtt, phtt, phtt' and bursting the stuff. So now you know, next time you watch the episode, that behind all that medical stuff is big, beautiful bubble wrap."

We’ve had access to small-scale radio antennas that only transmit over a small area for a long time now (it’s the technology that makes drive-in movies work, after all). And yet it’s SO underutilized in themed spaces!! Imagine if Main Street USA in Disneyland had its own old-timey radio station that you could only tune into in the park! Imagine if Tomorrowland had its own station of like, goofy Jetsons future music where it’s all just doo-wop songs with space-themed lyrics? They could have little skits and in-universe interstitials like GTA! The transmitters are cheap enough that a hobbyist could reasonably buy them, too— imagine it at one of those weird large-scale LARP events!

I’ve played a sort of mid-apocalypse military-ish LARP (SPITE in Washington, there was an alien bug invasion destroying humanity) where I think they did that. We had a regular radio show broadcast with updates on how the war was going, happenings in camp, and music by request.

I think that’s how they did it anyway, it’s been a long time.

I don’t know Halsin very well but Geralt is a sad wet blanket of a man and the second he realized the bear he was fighting is sentient and a decent person (right? Isn’t he?) he would immediately quit and lie down in the mud, so I think this one would probably go to the bear.

I think the thing I was least prepared for is the absolute nuclear weapons-grade tism rizz of the lead. I’ve seen Slings and Arrows so I was prepared (sort of, it was still jarringly out of place) for the necromancy (the psychosis comes back?? Also?? This actor always sees ghosts in every role??) but not for how much of this show is about how unintentionally hot this unemotive, heirarchy-ignoring, procedure-obsessed nerd with superior senses is

the other thing I was unprepared for is the number of round-cheeked baby-faced guest stars from 1995 such as mark ruffalo and Jane krakowski ryan Phillipe I felt a little less startled by primarily though I feel like an animal who has wandered under a box marked “trap” held up by a stick like yeah you got me with this one I'm no better than Frannie and a superhero cop too like don't even look at me okay maybe I'll be cured by the appearance of Leoben unfortunately after watching him beat the shit out of his former bully with his bare hands I have also formed an unfortunate attachment to Ray no. 1 I cannot overstate how adorable and irritating Jane krakowski was in 1995 btw (irritating on purpose ofc)

I think she’s realizing for the first time that the crime she’s despised her parents for committing for her entire life might have actually been nothing, a mere clerical error or momentary slip, and that it might have been the fault of the system she was raised in that caused them to be imprisoned, just like she is now. And if it happened to her and it happened to them, how many people has it happened to? And what kind of person is she that she helped it?
