Still Nothing...

It was dusk, but Isabella hardly noticed. She had her bent over a stack of papers, rifling through them for something that might help her. A slight noise caused her to jerk her head up and glance at the tent flap behind her. Nothing ... it must have been the wind. Still, she realized that she had been in Alyra Sedai's tent too long; the Blue Sister would be back from the fool's errand Isabella had sent her on any moment. Of course, Alyra didn't know that it was Isabella who had sent the novice with the false summons to training area, and she was unlikely to suspect her, since they had never met. Alayra was a Sitter for the Blue Ajah, and the one person that Danae most often mentioned. Isabella knew it was a long shot, but she was becoming desperate. It was so unlike Danae to disappear the way she had when they reached Salidar, and Isabella knew with a certainty she couldn't explain that the other Sedai hadn't just decided to go on holiday. Something was wrong. Collapse )

Twist of the Shadow

Broderic stared at the solid bars of light that were being cast across his arms and dirty trousers, the sun mocking him through the wooden staves of his cage. He closed his eyes and tried at it again. It was still there...the "cage" that really mattered. He felt along its slippery wall to its strongest point. He instinctively knew that was where they held their "shield." That was the word the brown haired one had used. How appropriate.

He opened his eyes slowly and glared at the two women seated ahead of him. He watched them through his bars as his cage bumped and jostled along the stoney uneven road. He had never known such desperation. He could still feel it...just beyond that impenetrable barrier, like an underground river rushing beneath his feet. The raw power of Saidin made his mouth water and his eyes roll nervously in his head. Had he already gone mad??

Dark Arrival.

The sun crept painfully over the horizon, the first of its rays barely cutting through the clouds rolling through the sky. Salidar slowly awoke, the myriad fauna beginning the daily struggle for survival that rarely registered on the minds of men. The encampment of exiles was already stirring, but as the sun broke over the horizon full-force, the remainder came out of their tents and abodes; Salidar was buzzing with activity within moments.

((These posts are a bit of Hawk's history. Stories I always intended to write but never did. Each one shall get progressively closer and closer to the version of Hawk we see in live RP. This one is set in the same year of the last post. Hawk is about 14 at this point.))

Sins of the past

((Hey kiddos. Since riassa_desorven beat me to the punch of the first maintainer post I'd basically like to remind you guys of a couple of things.

1. Have fun. There are no formal rules or regulations to this community. By this point we've all been role-playing sporadically, and have been online friends sporadically long enough to trust one another in RP situations. We all know the unspoken rules and boundaries. There are no formal heads of the SL, Riassa-mun and I were bored one night and decided we'd like to get together with a few of you to RP again. We're not here to tell you guys what to and what not to do. We're basically here just to maintain the community on LJ, basically meaning that we stay within LJs TOS boundaries and make the community info pretty. The rest of the play is up to you guys. Some of you I've known on and off for a long time now, so I trust you're not going to bring in any Dragon Reborn's from the future who channel more powerfully than the Creator himself type characters. You know like Hawk was the very first night I RPed him in the Black Tower. ::looks down ashamedly::

2. Lets not get upset by stupid things. Riassa-mun and I figured it'd be a good time to get involved again because everyone is pretty much old enough at this point ::eyes Mary:: and we're all adults who have gotten past the age of legally drinking in the United States, and for those of us in Canada well you passed that point a few years ago. We've all gone through a lot since the high school/undergrad days of before. It's all gravy babies. If you run into a character who acts wacky or combative? Roll with it. Theres really no reason to take RP personally. I'm sure you guys all know this at this point, being too serious with your play or getting upset OOC with someones IC actions leads to dischord and generally ruins it for everyone participating. Lets all just take it easy. If someone's character is acting in a manner which you dissaprove of theres no reason to get upset, just remember that we're all here to write stories and have a good time. I've already been witness to people complaining of other characters acting annoying. Please just try and roll with this IC as best as you can, and if you find yourself unable to deal then instead of stirring the pot lets just try and take a few minute break.

3. Enjoy yourselves. The only body governing this community is.....you guys. The members. Nothing is going to happen here without the consensus of members agreeing with it. Keep that in mind. I remember having a lot of enjoyable times in the past RPing with a lot of you. Lets just try to do everything possible to maintain that with minimal amounts of drama.

Edit: Okay, Ive just been informed that there are some rstrictions, but I hope you guys don't mind or think me a liar as one of these has been agreed upon by most of the muns involved. First is muns are limited to one channeling male character and one Green Aes Sedai. This is due to the fact that we don't want people to inundate the SL with these types of characters. I think we've all agreed on the fact that we need to limit characters per mun. I know I'm too busy to play anyone but Hawk right now, but if you feel you have the time to do multiple, just remember, one male channeler, one Green sister. Next is due to continuity and progression of story, but please please lets try to stay in the time frame given and not advance time as much as possible. This means lets all be on the same page with how fast time is going, meaning in laymans terms no pregnancies right now. Pregnancies add an odd nuisance to story lines, because their progression usually goes from pregnant, to born in less OOC time then it takes me for me to take a dump. So as agreed by me and most of the muns Riassa-mun and I have spoken to personally we're putting a moratorium on pregnancy to be lifted at a later date. Thanks guys.))

Night falls in Salidar

Night fell in Salidar just as Isabella and Danae Sedai were riding in. The two Sisters, one White and one Blue respectively, headed straight to Danae's favorite inn, the Wet Wench. Isabella raised an eyebrow at the name, but Danae assured her that the place was respectable... for the most part. Isabella didn't have the energy to argue, and so it wasn't long before the two Sisters were safely stowed away in a room. Danae professed hunger and went downstairs, leaving Isabella alone for the first time in days.

The Shadow makes its move..

Brendan Exodus asked the courier to repeat his message once more, and listened once again. "Continue to the dove's new roost," the little man said, "and become a poisonous egg." Brendan hated code. He knew exactly what it meant, and likely so would anyone else who pulled it out of this filthy cutpurse. He preferred to have the message sent through reliable means; then again, he was not in charge of such decisions, so he put the thought from his mind and turned to regard the stubby man.
"You are late, by nearly half a day," was all he said, arms crossed over his slim yet powerful chest. The courier's eyes darted about, confused. Brendan just stared him down.
