Well-defined edge of a rain shaft with the sun shining behind it.

A friend and I drove from Las Vegas to Los Angeles two weeks ago when a big storm system moved across the West. I'm not sure if it was the weather or what, but people were driving ridiculously slowly and the usually four-hour drive took seven, but we got lovely views along the way!

These were taken with a simple point-and-shoot camera from the window of the car, but I hope you enjoy anyway!

Last month my boyfriend and I took the formerly-Route-66 road trip from my parents' home in northern Indiana to Los Angeles along I-40 and I-44. I had never seen the US West before so the scenery along the way was interesting to me, and I think I liked it even better with the scenic weather we saw along the way (:

Given the double pr0n spamming, can we possibly switch the comm to moderated for a bit?  It's not just this comm, ftr, there's been an increase in general.

Here is a shot of the sky above my balcony earlier this evening. We didn't get a single drop of rain nor thunder or lightning but the clouds were pretty amazing.

Tonight's sunset over Lake Ellesmere/wetlands in Banks Peninsula, near Christchurch, New Zealand. Always nice to see these sunsets in winter.
