Vancouver Metal

Vancouver's full of metalheads. We just don't seem to find one another. So now, there's a metal forum for metalheads who live in Vancouver, whether it be North, West, South, East, or just Vancouver period. I'd rather it be for just Vancouverites, but if you bribe me enough, you may get in, if you're close enough (Seattle for example).

Any genre of metal is allowed, aside from nu or poseur (KoRn, Slipknot, that sort). Keep it on topic people.

Suggestions of things to post about:
--Upcoming metal tours/events
--Reviews of the aforementioned that have passed
--News about bands, album releases, etc.
--Suggestions of new bands for us all to try out
--General musings on a song, album, band, lyric, or just the concept of metal in and of itself

Suggestions of thins to absolutely not post about:
--Your favourite nu album
--Nu in general. This (for the most part) includes "Gee, don't you hate nu metal?". It's fine to express the opinion but we don't need whole posts about it
--An online quiz that has absolutely nothing to do with metal. If you post one at all, lj cut is nice.
--A big picture not under lj cut. All such posts will be deleted quite briskly.
--Your favourite non metal band. No matter how good they are, there's better places to do that. In comments, you can, but not in posts.

Other things not to do:
--Say things that are racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. This will get you banned, and this is your warning.
--Say things that are idiotic (see above).
--Post your views on how great it is that Iced Earth are so pro-America or how shitty it is; how Varg Vikernes' political and ethnic views are so totally right, or so totally wrong. Basically, don't be a dick.
--No flaming people who have different opinions, or who haven't heard of your favorite metal band. People have different taste in music. It happens.

Over all, respect yourself, everyone else and things around you.
