Our residential centre of excellence occupies a unique, water-front location in Cowes on the Isle of Wight. Home of the world’s most famous international regatta and synonymous with sailing excellence, Cowes is the perfect location for watersports and on-the-water training.
Everything you need, all in one place
Our beautiful 4.5-acre base is fully residential with a choice of single and twin-bedded en-suite rooms alongside hostel style dormitories. The shoreside facilities include modern lecture rooms and conference spaces, an indoor heated swimming pool and a fully licensed bar and lounge area. We have everything you need for your training or stay with us, including a bespoke training centre, superyacht galley, a gym, sports hall and a canteen.

Dining hall & canteen
A day on the water can be tiring, so hearty, nutritious meals are a must. As a student, you’ll get breakfast, lunch and dinner with a choice of food that includes a salad bar and vegetarian or vegan options. Our catering team are used to dealing with different dietary requirements, from nut allergies to Halal meat.
We support local farmers and all our beef, lamb and pork is from the Isle of Wight. We also use free-range eggs. All our chicken is Halal.
Communal area ‘The Bridge’
At the centre of the main building is the social hub of our base called ‘The Bridge’. With beautiful balcony views across the river, and a television area and pool table, The Bridge is the perfect place to unwind and relax after a hard day afloat or studying.
For our career students it offers the opportunity to mingle with working captains and crew; very useful contacts when looking for employment in the industry.
Shower Block & Laundry
Refurbished in 2022, our modern shower block and changing facilities allow our students to freshen up after an exhilarating day out on the water. With private changing areas and underfloor heating, it’s the perfect place to clean up and get ready for afternoon studies!
Open daily, you can also make use of our self-service laundry room to keep your clothing fresh and clean. We offer both washing and tumble-drying machines which are readily available on site, situated behind the main building.
Gym & Sports Hall
We are passionate about the health and well-being of our students and staff and have a number of fitness options that our students can access during their time with us. This includes access to our gym as well as a programme of yoga and fitness training sessions. Equipment inside the gym includes a running machine, free weights, step and cycle machines and a multi-gym.
We have a full-size, fully-equipped sports hall which offers another valuable training area on our site. Training sessions are provided for students and staff.
Schools and groups are able to access the space for evening entertainments and team games. The sports hall is also available for all local residents and clubs to hire at preferential rates.
