This end user license agreement constitutes a legal agreement between you (the licensee), or your company (or whatever you represent) and Andreu Balius / Typerepublic (Riu, 2. Son. 25589 Lleida, Spain), and is applicable to the fonts (Font Software) you have ordered from us.
This non-exclusive end user license grants you to use the Font Software for your own personal or internal business purposes according to the terms of this agreement.
By purchasing and installing Typerepublic Font Software, you agree on all the terms specified within this End User License Agreement (EULA)
Definitions
Typerepublic is the Licensor, the trading brand of Andreu Balius.
You or End User or the Licensee are defined as and refer to a customer who has purchased a license to use the Font Software.
Font Software is defined as the designs of the font(s) downloaded from this website and identified on your sales receipt or invoice, which when installed on the appropriate generates a particular font.
Invoice or Receipt means the electronic document you will receive as confirmation of the Font Software purchased.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
Thank you for your interest in Typerepublic’s fonts. By downloading or using our Fonts, you (the End User) agree to the terms outlined in this license. Typerepublic grants you a non-exclusive, limited, and non-transferable license to use the Fonts under the following conditions:
- Licence to fonts
1.1. These General Conditions apply to all types of licenses identified in the Special Conditions of License.
1.2. By purchasing the license, the licensee acquires only the right to use the Fonts under the specific conditions set forth in each case.
1.3. The use of the Fonts in television broadcasting and movies is excluded from this EULA. A specific license is required for such uses.
1.4. The use of the Fonts embedded in original equipment manufacturer (OEM) hardware is excluded from this EULA. A specific license is required for such cases.
- Rights of use.
2.1. By purchasing the license, the licensee acquires only the right to use the Font Software under the specific conditions stated. If the licensee wishes to expand or modify the permitted use, a new license must be purchased. This right of use is conditional upon acceptance of the terms specified in this EULA.
- Intellectual property and copyright.
3.1. The licensee acquires a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Fonts listed in their user account or invoice solely for their company’s use, under the specific conditions set forth in the Special Conditions of License.
3.2. The licensee has no rights to the Fonts other than those expressly granted in this Agreement and the applicable Special Conditions of License, and acknowledges that Typerepublic owns all rights to the Fonts and, where applicable, to the software enabling them, including programming, structure, and coding.
3.3. The digital files installed on your computer contain Font Software that is the intellectual property of the font’s respective designer, represented herein by Typerepublic, which holds the distribution rights and reserves all intellectual property rights.
3.4. Font Software is protected by copyright and subject to the laws of the European Union, international treaties, and the applicable laws of the country where the Fonts are used.
3.5. You agree to identify Typerepublic Fonts by name and credit Typerepublic’s ownership of trademarks and copyrights in any design or production credits.
3.6. You are not authorized to sublicense, sell, rent, lend, lease, transfer, or give away the Font Software to any other person or entity. Backup copies of the Font Software are permitted only for archival purposes, provided you maintain exclusive control over such copies.
3.7. You may create outline artwork based on the Fonts for personal or business use. However, creating derivative works based on Typerepublic Font Software is not permitted.
3.8. Modifying the Fonts and using the modified product for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited. The use of font editor software or any attempt to alter the Font Software to create a usable, derivative, or substitute version is forbidden.
3.9. You agree not to commission or authorize any third party to modify the Font Software without prior written consent from Typerepublic. If explicit authorization is granted, the modified Font Software will be considered derivative work and subject to the terms of this license agreement.
3.10. This license excludes the use of the Fonts to create products derived from the alphabet itself, such as house numbers, stamps, adhesive or transferable letters, decals, stencil templates, or similar products. Such uses require a separate license from Typerepublic.
- Conditions of use
4.1. Embedding Font Software into documents or web pages is only permitted in a secure, print- or read-only mode. Editing or modifying content is not allowed. You must ensure that recipients cannot extract the Font Software or use the embedded fonts for editing or creating new documents. Embedding is allowed only if you have acquired the proper license.
4.2. You are not authorized to convert, alter, or modify the Font Software in any way. This includes, but is not limited to, renaming, reverse engineering, translating, decompiling, or modifying Typerepublic Font Software. Converting font files to other formats (such as .woff, .svg, .eot, .ttf) for use as web fonts is prohibited without purchasing a separate Web Font license.
4.3. The Fonts may not be made publicly available, altered to add features, rented, leased, sublicensed, or copied. However, you may make a backup copy of the software that enables the Fonts, which must be destroyed upon termination of this Agreement.
- Warranties and Limitations
5.1. Typerepublic warrants that the Font Software will perform according to its published specifications. Damaged or defective font software can be replaced if you provide a valid sales receipt and license number within 30 days of purchase.
5.2. Typerepublic’s liability is strictly limited to replacing the Font Software or refunding the license fee. Under no circumstances shall liability exceed the cost of the Font Software. The licensee is fully responsible for any damages, costs, or expenses arising from the use of the Fonts. Typerepublic disclaims all liability for any direct, indirect, or incidental damages related to this EULA, the Fonts, or their download, installation, or use.
- Acknowledgement
6.1. Typerepublic thanks you for licensing the Font Software. This compensation supports the time and effort involved in creating new type designs.

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS
Desktop Fonts specifications

The licensee is granted a non-exclusive, limited, and non-transferable license, under the terms of this Agreement. They may install and use the software on the number of computers specified in their license or invoice. To use it on more computers, additional licenses are required.
- The licensee may share the software with a service provider (e.g. a printer or service bureau) only to print files created with it. The provider cannot use the software for any other purpose. The licensee must inform them of the license terms and is responsible for any misuse.
Web Fonts specifications

The licensee is granted a non-exclusive, limited, and non-transferable license, under the terms of this Agreement. The Web Font license is valid for a single person or organization. It can be used on any website owned or controlled by the licensee. It cannot be shared across multiple clients or projects. Each user must buy their own license based on how they intend to use it.

A page view is a single visit to a page on your website. Your average monthly traffic must stay within the licensed page view limit stated on your receipt. If it exceeds that limit, you’ll need to upgrade your license.

The fonts cannot be used in interactive web apps where users can edit text or choose fonts. They must not be used outside the licensed website or to create products, PDFs, apps, images, or physical items.

You may use the fonts only on the licensed number of websites, strictly for styling HTML pages using @font-face in CSS. The fonts must only be used to style text on your site, and you must prevent others from accessing or downloading the font files directly.
Application (App) Fonts specifications

The licensee is granted a non-exclusive, limited, and non-transferable license, under the terms of this Agreement. App Fonts may be used in mobile apps for Android, iOS, Windows Phone, or similar systems, as long as the fonts are embedded securely and users cannot access or extract them.

App Fonts are licensed for one individual or entity. The App Font Software may be embedded in the number of applications previously specified when purchasing license and identified in your receipt.

One App Font license allows use in the same app across multiple mobile operating systems. The font cannot be used by third parties to create custom products or documents. You must prevent unlicensed access to the App Font software.
ePub Fonts specifications

The licensee is granted a non-exclusive, limited, and non-transferable license, under the terms of this Agreement. Fonts can be used for up to the number of EPUBs specified in your license or invoice. Each EPUB issue counts as a separate publication, but regional or format variations of the same issue do not count as additional EPUBs.

The EPUB must be a non-executable file viewable on eBook readers or devices. The font software cannot be installed on the device’s operating system, made public, or modified to add features.

The Font Software must be securely embedded within a file format, such as PDF, EPUB and KF8, that protects the Font Software by means of encryption.
Server Fonts specifications

The licensee is granted a non-exclusive, limited, and non-transferable license, under the terms of this Agreement. Font software can be installed on up to the number of licensed servers shown in your license or invoice for remote user access.

Remote server users must agree to an end user license that limits font use to the licensed server only. They cannot download or use the fonts outside the server, and the fonts may only be used internally to create non-commercial embedded documents.

The fonts shall be incorporated in an embedded document in such a secure manner that it cannot be extracted from the embedded document.
