Tuxedo Gin

Hi, new to the community, but I was wondering if anyone else has ever done Tuxedo Gin cosplay? I've only seen mine and a few Minakos.

According to Viz.com, Tuxedo Gin 13 is set for a US release date of August 9th, 2005.

This is probably all old news, but what the heck? ^_^

This story is weird. It reminds me a little of the plot arc in books 3-4 with the mystery egg and the little pink penguin determined to have Gin-chan as her mate, though I can't remember her name at the moment. Since I've lent out my books, I can't really look it up either.

Single Mom Penguin: A Shocking Tell-All Story

I have returned. Actually I was back as of last Wednesday, but family issues have kept me busy. My grandfather is having a pacemaker put in today, so naturally I've been worried and I have been to visit my grandparents. I am trying to keep a positive outlook, and I'm hoping everything goes well.

As for my trip, there were some penguin-related goings-on. I went to the Philadelphia zoo. They have Humboldt penguins, which are a warmer-climate variety that come from South America, I think. I took several pictures of them and will probably post some of that penguiny goodness once things have settled down a bit for me.

Also, I took my Tuxedo Gin books with me and read them with Andy (my guy) and we even bought a few more to read. It was very fun and sweet, and he really seems to like Tuxedo Gin. My books are now on loan to him, because I ran a little short on space in my luggage, and I thought he might enjoy reading them again or something. He'll be bringing them back when he comes to visit, and at that point we might buy a few more Tuxedo Gin books to read. If I can't find Tuxedo Gin fans, I'll create them! =P

So I had fun on my trip, but I am glad to be back. Hello again, everybody! ^_^

Okay, so I have added a new background image to tuxedo_gin. I think it's pretty neat. Big Gin and Little Minako! ^_^ I didn't manage to get it up on Sunday because I got sick, but I'm aaaaaall better. =P I can always make another one if this won't do... always, except for the next three weeks, because I am going on vacation! Hee hee. I'll still be checking my email sporadically if anybody needs anything, but it might take a couple days. So enjoy Big Gin and Little Minako until then!

First off, we have a new member! *applause!* That is completely awesome. Every member is important, because without members we would not have a community. So I would like to thank everyone who has decided to give our little community a chance. ^___^

Second, I joined manga and introduced myself along with a brief plug about our community, so hopefully word will keep spreading. If anyone is part of a relevant community that allows the promotion of other communities, or has friends that might be interested, feel free to drop a word about us, or if you would rather not, but know of an interested community, pass word on and we'll look into it.

Lastly, I made the community's icon into the background pattern (just give it the url for the picture and it is self repeating) to test it out, and it's rather overwhelming because it is repeated so many times, but it is better than black, so I'm leaving it up until I make a more suitable picture, which ought to be done sometime tomorrow (I have to clean house this afternoon, yech). So there may be a little bit of tinkering with the layout over the weekend, but hopefully it will look really nice after that. =P

I got another volume of Tuxedo Gin yesterday. I got it 25% off, thanks to Borders/Waldenbooks and their wonderful email coupons! This thing is good through May 30th and you can just keep printing more and going back. The coupon says some things are excluded and one of those is "comics", but apparently manga is not counted as being a comic (thank goodness!) because the clerks at three different stores have given me the discount with no questions. These coupons, seriously, are some of the best things ever. Usually they are just for a weekend but this one is good for long enough that I thought I would pass it around. ^_^ They're only valid in the US though, which makes them slightly less cool. :( I don't know if there are Borders/Waldenbooks anywhere else, but I bet if there are they may have their own email coupon program. I signed up (obviously) and at least for me it was really worth it.

AAAAAAND... I recently added hug counters for some Tuxedo Gin characters in this community's info page! So give them the hugs they deserve! ^_^
